does it matter?
hes actually made a sensible post :lol:Exactly right. Why not focus on the subject matter of the post rather than its grammatical style.

ive read in a couple of my hubbys science mag, that a lot of the global warming propaganda machine is about raising taxes. and little to do with the environment. i have read that a lot of scientists say that the earth has always been warming, and that there is little or nothing we can do about it. now im not agreeing with these veiws, and i do re cycle and have bought a l.p.g car because it is a lot cheaper, and cleaner to run than petrol or diesel. but a lot of people are now running their diesel cars on cooking oil. and as a biker i can tell you for a fact, that these cars spew out a lot of smoke, choking black dirty smoke, this cant be doing the environment any good. and before long the chancellor will slap a massive tax on cooking oil. so itwil cost a fiver to fil the chip pan. oil is now past its peak availability, and it can only become more expensive, the russians have staked a flag on the bottom of the arctic. so there will be a race on soon to grab the arctic and turn it into a giant oil refinary, that is if we dont all get nuked in the war for the land.
Global Warming is indeed nowt but a pocket-picking justification for governments worldwide, but as for your cooking oil commentary..the only black dirty smoke that’s spewing, is the stuff coming out of your rear end along with your brains.
In order for a car engine to run in perpetuation through means of cooking oil..that oil has first to be cleaned, filtered, purified, and chemically altered by a number of lengthy and considered processes. It takes weeks and often months, to build a bio-diesel processor and one has to deal with the legalities of tax and waste refuse certification.
My husband runs his own bio-diesel operation. Your notion of us scooting around on a pan of chip-fat is as laughable as it is ill-informed. As those eejits who may have tried that very thing will have found once their car-engines seize up fifty miles into their journeys.
And as a biker..I can tell YOU that for a fact.Sorry but i beg to differ, oneof my best mates runs his tranny van [diesel engine] on cooking oil, and has done so for the last year. i know he does because ive seen it with my own eyes. so your sad attempt at calling me a liar has failed pet. im sure that your hubby does have his own business doing things with oil, but a tranny van will run on flora. as will any diesel engine.
Yeah..SVO will work on older diesel engines but the newer engines i.e. after 2002 are mostly CRD – far more sensitive to fuel change and thus the probability of severe damage.
On the even newer diesel engines..there are things called diesel particulate filters which will NOT operate on straight veg oil.
The only thing that can be used on all of these is well-produced bio diesel.
Furthermore, should methanol, soaps or lye remain present in badly reacted bio diesel..this will also cause serious damage to the more modern engine.
So go ahead..pour in the Flora..and if y’all have a Lucas fuel pump then prepare to take out a bank loan to repair the damage to your engine.
i didnt say i run any vehicle, so i wont be going ahead as you suggest. my mate does run his van on cooking oil, [mixed with diesel] and will continue to do so. i have a duel fuel car. petrol and mpg. its clean and economical as well as being eco friendly. im sure your hubby does wonders with his bio fuels. but what will be done when the third world is starved off because corn and wheat acerage is killed off in favour of oil seed rape ? very bio friendly im sure. but humanity friendly ? not so convinced.
Do I take it you mean LPG? Yes, our friends run their Range Rover on it very successfully. However, my DH doesn’t use straight forward vegetable oil – rather -WASTE vegetable oil which has been used previously in canteens and restaurants. As this oil has already been utilised, DH is providing a necessary service in taking this waste and re-processing it rather than it going to landfill. Shockingly, hundreds of thousands of gallons of the stuff goes to landfill every week.
i didnt know that ? i bow to your knowlege there.
my friend uses used oil,i dont know where he gets it from but it realy smells of dirt n fish. its awful if you are behind his van on a bike it chokes you.12 September, 2008 at 1:32 pm #368849its amazi wht a bottle of wine and raging hormones dos to me innit

Not to me it doesn’t..more the act of of someone trapped and despairing, and as PB intimated, someone who couldn’t bear the thought of leaving his wife and child behind to face the music and end up in penury.
I agree, although a sad story, whatever the reason.
A vast majority of the UK poulation have to live frugally or in penury. The Ponies, Porche’s and Big House would have went. So what? That’s life. They wouldn’t have been the 1st people to have that happened to them. People eventually deal with whatver changed circumstance they have to put up with.
If it was a 102 yr old in 24 hr a day pain that had been put of their misery then it could at least have been debatable, but this man took his wife and daughter’s lives, and took his Daughters and wifes future for no other reason than they would have had to change their lifestyles. To me that it is a murderous sick act, and surely any overtunes of sympathy that have echoed from this thread are also sick.
For once BM you and I are in total agreement. Well said.
b.m you echoed my thoughts so perfectly i can think of anything else to add. you are 100 percent bang on. hes a selfish bastard simple as that.

Also, I remember watching (again live as it actually happened)the tower occupants jumping out of windows to their deaths and watching the bodies falling and falling. You end up with a tremendous emptiness inside and nobody watching it could find any words at all to express their feelings. I know that we all went home that night and cuddled our families and held them close and were quietly grateful that at least they were safe and alive.
And how did you manage that when you had apparently lost connection?
i dont know if anyone ever old you…? but.. when it happened… it was all over the t.v and even on the radio. he saw it on another screen as he explaned you muppit.
12 September, 2008 at 12:05 pm #371248i was behind the bar, the day it happened, we had a small t.v on in the corner. at first i thought he footage was a movie being made. then my friend phoned and told me to put he big t.v on and tune into sky. we did, and the rest as we know is history. we only had a handful of customers in the pub. but the effect on us all was a feeling of utter helplessness. i still see the vision of the falling man to this day.
the evil parasite that lied and said she was there, should get a bullet thru her fat head.pb your experience must have been awful, to have seen it literally happen,it must have been terrible for you all when you realised all those people in that office had been killed.
