Actually, doesnt that post start off saying the colour makes no difference then change to saying it does or am I just tireder than I thought? The quoted text seems to be disagreeing withitself within a single paragraph

I think fastcars was making the opposite point actually, that had she not been white it wouldnt have gotten anywhere near as much attention which is the complete opposite of the colour or creed not making a difference
I think they just deserve better parents really
Well firstly it wasnt me that introduced the colour issue, nor was it me that then tried to claim it wasnt relevant (that was you)
I’m simply pointing out that it IS relevant to the topic to some people and not to others, no one side of that coin is universally “right”, both are equally so as relevance is as personal as any preference or perspective
And the point has already been made several times about how much of a media circus this is when many other girls her age go missing or get killed with far less furore (sp??) than we are seeing here without being deemed by the judgemental as “irrelevant”, so that also lends validity to the connection with the colour question and the level of media hype over this
Not only will most peoples views on a topic vary, but so will their perceptions of interelationships, interconnections and relevances and theres no universal list of acceptable ones which is what makes message boards so interesting half the time as they meandour through several not always obvious related topis along the way
I’m pretty sure every single post on every single thread would seem “irrelevant” to someone, even yours. So why just because you dont see or accept the relevance should that make any real difference?

Even tho you quoted what I said you chose to completely missinterpret it to suit what you would have rather I’d said rather than what I did say which was that we didnt KNOW she was dead, that doesnt with any use of the english language I’ve ever seen equate to saying she IS alive, merely that we dont KNOW she is dead
As such it doesnt rule out her being dead but we dont know it as a fact yet, it doesnt rule out she is alive and healthy nor does it rule out she is currently beings strangled and therefore midpoint between the two states while were discussing it
It DOESNT state anything “known”, it merely points out an UNknown (important point that)
Whereas saying “she would still be here” does quite pointedly talk like she IS dead, which isnt “known”, just quite likely (theyre different btw)
As for knowing what was meant by “here”, course I did, I chose to humourously (to me) deliberately missinterpret it tho, same as you just did over my post oddly enough yet again

Think of “here” in terms of the UK or the Midlands where she IS from and you will get the gist easily enough :wink:
If she was still “here” they wouldnt have even taken her on holiday with them, and that would have been even more selfish leaving them at home while they went on a romantic holiday wouldnt it?
After all, we dont KNOW she is dead, its just a very likely possibility, she might just have been abducted by some childless nutters or been taken to be sold into the sex industry or kept as a sex toy by some paedos and still for the moment be alive in either instance
Maybe they needed a cover story for the police when one of them went missing?
Or perhaps they thought that the combined ages was high enough to mean they were ok to be left
Only they will know the answer to that so obviously only THEY would be able to answer that question, everyone else will just be guessing on the specifics
The closest acurate answer tho is that they did it because they are absolutely irredeemably abominably selfishly irresponsibly inconsiderately abysmal parents

Seriously tho, as someone pointed out a few days ago it IS the serious board (wasnt you was it perchance?), as for it being dull, I COULD have simply pointed out that none statements are quite psychologically rooted ones that hint at or show far more going on than the veneer of “not bovverred”ness they proport to report as well as being a bit of an unfathomable none entity in the logic scale when posted on an actual discussion on an actuial discussion board making them vaccuous pointless posts on the surface but in reality ones that are really saying other things such as “I WANT to comment but wont be able to keep my cool”, “I want to comment but have a very flimsy, illthoughtout indefensible view” or “I’m not actually interested enough to discuss this but I dont mind sniping a little and then complaining if anyone responds to my sniping as tho THEY were the instigator” amongst many several squillion bazillion other ones
But that would have been far more acidic and much duller, so really you got the interesting dullness comparatively, so you ought to be all chuffed and stuff really :lol:
