The stats reveal that 2 year separation by consent is the most common reason for divorce. This is very misleading as the parties may have been married for years, but would have to prove to the court that they have lived separate lives for two years preceding issuing the divorce. So the public misunderstand this to mean they have only been married two years when that is not the case atall.
It is one of the most common grounds as the majority blatently lie and as its by consent there is no reason to question it. Mutually between couples who agree they can no longer live together chose this ground as its the simplist. And better than airing their dirty linen for the likes of me an my collegues to have a good old laugh about!
The unreasonable behaviour and adultery cases are equally as common in my opinion and certainly brighten up my day :)
I thought long and hard about getting married and working in my environment has certainly opened my eyes. Luckily we are happily married and I hope that continues.
The worse cases we see at the moment are children act cases between unmarried parents…. some of them are the pits, and you just dont wanna read them.
Actually nope, you are quite honestly the first person I have ever met or spoken too who even thinks anyone MIGHT not be able to know the difference between a two year separation and a marriage that lasts less than two years
The giveaway sign is the marriage that lasts less than two years ends within two years of starting for a start, its a bit of a giveaway really, so there wasnt any confusion here and lordy knows what kind of people you associate with if you DO think thats a common misconception :|

isnt it amazing that if you adopt a dog the rspca will visit you and check on the welfare of the dog, but if you have a child youre left to get on with it regardless.
Well, you can actually have kids without being married, infact many women manage to do so without even having a partner and people also get married but dont have kids, so thats not really anything to do with marriage and would be more relevant re a discussion about whether all women should be steralised and have to take courses, prove they can afford to raise a child and pass exams before being unsteralised in order to breed

getting married should only be allowed after the intended couple do a sort of living degree to assess how well they are matched, do they realy know what marriage means etc. and more importanyly can they take the pressures of marriage nowadays .
Thats kind of the point of the thread, although even without any tuition on the realities of a relationship and learning what the word “commitment” means wouldnt even be needed for the marriages that only last a year or two anyway, as chances are they just wouldnt even happen to begin with if they had a couple of years to think about the decision made during copulation or inebriation in a bit more depth

for too many people its an excuse for a party and not about life partnership. some women put more importance on their bloody wedding dress than they do the husbands ability to earn the cash to pay for it .
Shock horror, but nowadays women are actually capable and allowed to get of their macdonalds enhanced bottoms, give daytime TV a rest and earn that money themselves you know lol

ffs weve got a generation of barbies and wags.and their fekless mothers are to blame for spoiling them and telling them that they can have everything they want just get it on credit. end game thousands in debt two kids later they all fall down.mariage is an institution and if you dont want to be in an institution dont get married simple as.
Credit is more of a social plague and the parents are to blame totally for that particular issue as they are the ones tasked with teaching their kids the value and management of money, restraint, importance and where real value rather than “mc-value” lies in things
As for having it all, thats more to do with feminism being missunderstood or perverted as its portrayed as being possible for women to be an excellent mother, have an excellent career and have an excellent family life (relationships rarely get a mention in the feminist model), all of which take most of every day, so until we have 48 hours in a day and 10 days in a week its an unrealistic thing to tell people is the MINIMUM they should aim for
The original message of feminism was for women to have the CHOICE of which they wanted and in what mix, not the innacurate claim that they not only could, but SHOULD have all three to excess as thats just not possible for all but a very fortunate wealthy few and therefore leaves the majority chasing an ideal they cant attain and feeling inadequate as a result

But shhh, dont tell too many people, else political authority will have to explain why the multi-cultural hellhole experiment doesn’t work, and they hate that.
Lets talk about the weather and pretend we didn’t read about it, didn’t it rain alot today
Its pissing down here now. Cat just came in soaked.
I’m surprised Emma hasnt tried to claim that was because some asians mustapha pissed on it
This as with the 10 year old battering thread is one where the race is immaterial, white kids do this kind of crap all the time too, as do black ones
Unless they were ONLY vandalising non asians cars its not a racial or multicultural issue as such, infact the reason they were doing this is just as likely to be BECAUSE of multiculturalism having worked, and normally fastidious well behaved asian kids becoming more westernised and behaving like white british ypbs
15 October, 2007 at 8:02 am #290714The case for CO2 making ANY difference to the climate isnt proven, its merely claimed and supported by unscientific theories and the deceitful linking of unrelated things
The case for the sun warming up and cooling however IS proven to be the cause of the planet warming and cooling, as is the irrefuteable proof that the clouds are the main protagonist in the planets weather cycles
So until they can actually manage to prove this even to the point where they have some degree of credible data that supports their claim which at present they dont have the faintest snippet of ANY tax or price hike linked to global warming and CO2 is at most fraud
But with a population the majority of which seem to be mindless unquestioning retarded left wing brainwashed automatons that believe any old crap the government tells them such nonsense gets swallowed more eagerly than a popstars go go goo
15 October, 2007 at 7:54 am #291046I hardly think the point is to encourage women who CAN have a career to turn into junk food eating daytime telly watching mindless no hopers really nor is it to further line the pockets of people who already have the money from two incomes
For something like this to have any value it should be aimed at women who think actually putting time and effort into running a home and being a proactive hands on parent is a worthwhile pursuit and WHY people have kids by affording them the ability to do so rather than begrudgingly HAVING to work to make ends meet or risking their relationship ending due to financial pressures which is a common reason for relationships breaking down in order to afford more kids a stable mum and dad enviroment to grow up in as theres more than enough impirical data to show this IS the best start in life for a child, better on average than only having one parent and better on average than having two parents who see them rarely because their careers, holidays, nice cars. plasma screen TV’s, new kitchens, brand name clothes etc etc etc etc are more important to them than their kids
13 October, 2007 at 5:23 pm #291044A comment like that has the potential to be political suicide
Once the gays and feminists get their teeth into the bloke he’ll have wished he’d kept his gob shut lol
This is one of those whimsical areas where the best interests of the child fall second place to peoples own dysfunctions and hedonistic excesses
12 October, 2007 at 3:52 pm #290891This is just typical of this governments lack of a grasp on reality and of the left wings need to try and have one idiotically dumbed down answer for everything no matter how many influencing factors affect the topic
Its like saying “why do people have babies, is it a) accidental pregnancies OR b) planned ones OR c) IVF OR,,,,etc etc
The reason the alcohol sales has dropped as with most things WONT be for one reason, it WILL have been influenced to some extent by the smoking ban, it WILL have been influenced by the massive tax hikes, interest rate hikes and fuel price hikes meaning people just cant afford to go out as much or at all nowadays, it WILL have been affected by people deciding to either go and do their own booze runs to europe or buying their booze off other people who do and it WILL even have been influenced by some people, although I doubt its very many deciding to cut down or stop for health reasons or because of the adverts informing women they are incapable of keeping their knickers on after a few shandies plus dozens of other reasons
Is a lobotomy compulsory now if youre a politician?
10 October, 2007 at 2:59 pm #290727Niether as the monarchy cant decide whether or not we go to war anyway, and as we saw in iraq, its fine for peasants kids to die in conflict but not the posh kids
I think we are more likely looking at someone spoilt and being used to having what they want, so rather than having to pick one or the other like everyone else HAS to he wanted both so he is getting both
The only other thing that springs to mind is this
If he can be reasonably placed in the RAF or navy he can then more easily have a posting that keeps him out of danger in any conflict, whereas with only one forces training he would, as he is be permanently in one regiment, so if that regiment goes to war he also should
10 October, 2007 at 10:00 am #290712YAAAAAAAAWN!!!!!!!!
And so paves the way for a series of unnecessary airport, plane fuel flight taxes and charges which will now be brainlessly supported by all the greenies and those too thick to realise that the CO2 scaremongering is a ficticious creation designed to facilitate nothing more than more scathing tax collection
We really must be one of the most gullible, naive, apathetic, idiotic, brainless, unthinking populations on the planet
I reckon if gordy said that sex was a major contributor to global warming a massive amount would blindly support a shag tax as a result and without question
Its embarassing
10 October, 2007 at 9:57 am #290715I cant actually see why they would ask other than to cash in on votes from the paranoid and illegal entities in society as the answer is pretty obvious isnt it?
A passport is not only a form of ID but is also needed to move from country to country, its also hardly a teensy weensy easily carried item. So although it COULD be used just as an ID there are also problems with it being used as such including the wear and tear it would then have to endure, the awkwardness of carrying it on a regular basis especially in hot weather where people would want to be barely clad not to mention the ridiculous cost and inconvenience it would cause if lost, damaged or stolen as it would mean that person would be unable to leave the country if they had a holiday planned for one
An ID card tho is small enough to fit in a wallet, pocket or purse, it would stand up far better to the wear and tear of daily living and carrying and if lost, damaged or stolen a week or month before a holiday wouldnt cause a problem
So I really cant see why politicians are pretending to be so confuddlicated over this issue other than to harvest votes, because 5 billion and a few hundred million is a splash in a very big ocean compared to what the government wastes themselves that has no benefit to anyone whatsoever
Whereas this expenditure at least has SOMETHING that is gained in return
