Sartre just makes me feel suicidal. He wasn’t nice to his women. But I did like the geezer who wrote ‘Mack the Knife’ to his missus Lotte Lenya.

only a fool would freebase dimethyltryptamine in the winter. I’m talking about some new kind of uninvented moron, never seen before. You need the sweet sounds, colours and true smells of an English Summer to really get those important 7th and 8th senses aroused adequately. When roses are in bloom and those impertinent daffs have fooked right…[Read more]

A nice story, from the early stages of the Great War. They thought they’d be home by Xmas and it never happened again.
Both sides then proceeded to shell eachother to bits in a land of mud. Because they simply had no choice.
At the end of the second ‘great’ war most people had had enough and our great leader Churchill was kicked out.

toybulldog replied to the topic ~Only Breath~ Rumi. in the board Art, poetry, music and film 14 years, 2 months ago
Perhaps.
To my knowledge Rumi was a passionate believer in art, poetry and song. And the protagonist of my post was one of the great British Blues / Punk vocalists, singing from personal experience of psychiatric nursing, and from drug counselling work on the famous Soho Project. All of which makes your ‘idiocy’ remark rather unfortunate although…[Read more]

If you’ve racked up £4-5k on the cards this last year or 5, and now have flies buzzing around your mouth while you read about the antics of Geldof’s children . . . . . . consider yaself lucky, . . . . . or summat.
Mainly just consider yaself. hell that’s my Christmas Message.

I’ve attempted endless jottings, and screwed each one up in frustration, thinking them self-indulgent and trite. They never made a waste paper basket big enough for me. So I live by the Golden Rule and try and treat others as I’d like to be dealt with myself.
Which causes no end of trouble.
