I always thought devolution was good, but independence bad. But the SNP-led Scottish govenrment has brought shame on Scotland and embarrassment to Great Britain. If the Westminster government has the power to dismiss the current Scottish government, which is really a glorified form of local government that we, in England, are denied, then it should do so.
I agree totally, we should have intercepted the decision before it was made. I campaign heavily for a Yorkshire Assembly. I believe in localized government, I’m a firm supporter of devolution – that includes historic counties of England.
It seems a bit unfair to me, that the first inch of power we give to the Scottish, they use it to release terrorists upon the world.
Yet because Yorkshire wants local power to make decisions such as protection of our countryside against greedy Capitalist developers who want to bulldoze it to over-populate the area… we’re denied it.
The Lockerbie bomber has nothing to live for. He is more of a danger now than he was before, you just know he’s going to strap a bomb to himself and go out in a blaze of glory.
And if he does, Scotland should be sanctioned economically and its “government” punished for its crime. Aiding & abetting terrorism.
Devolution – yes. But there should always be a higher power that can intercept on behalf of the British Isles as a whole. A high court.
We should roll back the House of Lords back to its traditional standing and give back its powers to intercept on decisions such as these that could pose a danger to national, and world security.
As for compassionate grounds – did he show any compassion for the people he murdered in cold blood? Did he heckers. Shame on Scotland for spitting on his victim’s graves. This is a shame that Scotland will carry on her shoulders for a long time.

I’ve never said anything about drugs in my life. I do believe you’re mistaking me for a fictional character!
Apart from pages and pages of “legalise all drugs” in the Getting Serious” forum [-X
? What are you talking about? I don’t think I’m the one on drugs mate. I’m not the one hallucinating
Please do point me towards this fictitious post?
23 August, 2009 at 9:14 am #409643What are you talking about? Blimey this board has gotten more paranoid as it has aged. Will asked me if it tasted nice, I was answering him – check page 1 I think it was near the bottom.
Crikey! You’re all so full of testosterone and needlessly hostile. It really is strange behaviour.
23 August, 2009 at 1:57 am #409641And it depends what kind of beer you like, Will. I like traditional Yorkshire ale, so I’m making one of those, so to me it’ll taste nice. TO a lager lout it’ll taste horrible, like lager tastes horrible to me.
Incidentally, though, I do have a 2lb bag of light malt, which is used to make lager. My auntie likes lager so once my fermenting barrel is free I’ll slap that in and brew some lager.

If you doubled the ingredients it aint gonna be any stronger, you’re just gonna have double the amount of ale :?
That’s not true. If you simply doubled the amount of water and hops you’d have double the amount of ale. But when you double the amount of malt and brewing sugar, you double the strength as it is the malt and sugar reacting with the malt that determines the strength.
And the length you mature it for.
22 August, 2009 at 2:36 am #409620Sorry I’m being a bit unfair there. By ‘Scotland’ I’d like to make it clear I am solely referring to its parliament and ultimately whoever agreed to the release of this evil monster. I am certainly not referring to the Scottish people as a whole, who I am sure are probably as sickened by his release as we are.
All with the exception of Ruby who thinks he’s innocent of course, which is obviously just a sick wind up to try and shock us.
22 August, 2009 at 2:34 am #409556I love watching big buff sweaty men in tiny trunks.
22 August, 2009 at 2:32 am #409619:lol: allegedly not judging by your other posts. You start off OK, then quickly take a nose-dive into gang-mentality bullying and go off topic. Not exactly the signs of thinking for yourself. Thinking for yourself would be replying in a civil and intelligent manner and and mature tone. Not simply repeating knee-jerking soundbites you’ve heard on the BBC.
But in all seriousness, surely the Lockerbie bomber is more dangerous now than before. He has nothing stopping him from performing a suicide bombing rampage. He has nothing to live for, nothing to lose.
Why would Scotland be so evil to release such a monster?
22 August, 2009 at 2:29 am #409240You’re mistaking me for someone else for starters.
For seconds, you know I’m right about the left/right economics system so you’re now resorting to petty abuse.
You’ll find New Labour is far more right winged than the BNP ever will be. If you turned BBC News off a second, and actually did some research for yourself, you’ll find we are heavily against privatisation.
Now, learn how to write in paragraphs and spekka de Anglais and then learn a little bit about the socio-economic policies of new era parties and then feel free to have a civil discussion with me. But I will not carry on this discussion while you are simply trolling like a petulant little child. You can’t think for yourself so instead you resort to gang-mentality bullying. It really is rather droll.
But like I said. Listening to the BBC is much easier than thinking for yourself, isn’t it?
I shan’t dignify you with any further replies unless your next reply is a civil and intelligent one. If I don’t reply to you then you’ll know your post was petty, abusive and droll.
Now get that bus out on time, you’re on the number 38 with the new clippie. Watch your hands!
