Colour is relevant. As described in Emmalush’s first post ‘The job is for “Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students’ <
how is it not about colour?
White British people are being outcasted. While Non-White Brits or just general non-whites/ethnic groups are being favoured. This has everything to do with colour in the eyes of the narrow minded people responsible for the advertisment.1 February, 2008 at 10:44 pm #308525Yes and also white.

– Strong winds and wintry showers lashed Britain on Friday, causing chaos at sea and on land. More bad weather was predicted for the weekend.
At least 130 vehicles were stranded on the A66 motorway in County Durham after a heavy snowstorm dumped at least four inches of snow, police said.
Durham police launched the rescue operation late Friday after motorists were stuck for up to six hours near Bowes.
“It is an area that does suffer bad weather conditions, deep snow and what can only be described as treacherous conditions,” Durham police superintendent Graham Hall told Reuters.
On Thursday, a lorry driver died after his vehicle was blown over and struck the central reservation on the M6 in Cumbria.
Strong northwesterly winds of up to 70 mph are set to whip across the country over the weekend, sending temperatures as low as minus 6 degrees Celsius in parts of Scotland.
Central England is expected to see temperatures dip to minus 3 degrees.
The worst weather will be in the north and west of the country with wintry showers and snow flurries spreading southwards.
….. and to cap it all Blackpool now has a new Ferry port, with lorry ferries docking on the beach right under the Blackpool tower. Makes it easier for the drivers to enjoy all that Blackpool can offer I guess!!!
Funnily enough I’m off to sunny Blackpool in March….
1 February, 2008 at 10:01 pm #308612I used to be a huge Spice Girls fan when I was about 12, but even I agree that their time has been and is long gone. However I imagine they would still have a few die hard fans remaining even if they can’t top the charts like they once did.

Has anyone seen this one? It doesn’t just go up to where she got captured and sent to concentration camps..It goes right up to her death. For anyone interested, here is the link to the trailer..But be aware, the last quarter is real deep: Much much more powerful than the Anne Frank diary movie:
ps: if you dont know who she is, this is a true and real story.
When we did about Anne Frank in school, I always thought she survived the concentration camps. Obviously I must not have been listening that well…
1 February, 2008 at 12:41 pm #308520I never thought I would ever read a post just like this one. I wonder what would have have happened if the job description had said ‘Non-Whites/other ethnic groups need not apply. All Hell would have broke loose, thats what!
I must have been living in ‘fairytale land’ when I thought racism to this degree was a thing of the past. Obviously, racism will and always will probably exsist but surely this is just the lowest of the low. This is really too much, its not just an odd comment being made to a minority it is actually a kick in the teeth for a majority.
Damn right disgusting. Please excuse me if I sound rude but this is Britain not Africia, China, etc.. the majority of people are white here, and it sounds to me like white British people are treated as second class citizens in their own country. It is unreal and most stop now!!
