I’m not getting hot headed , its just irritating that despite being wrong you keep insisting you’re correct. I was wrong on the bath question by misreading it and had the good grace to admit it but you keep talking about gears , cogs and us both being wrong etc. Just admit you made a mistake- it happens.
All to do with the teeth on the cogs and the turning of the gears.

The reason I mentioned the time may be less than this by a matter of minutes was down to differences in displacement at objects moving at different speeds which can be expressed best by the following simple equation
(2.1c)(2.1d)(2.1e)) This relates to the basic linear dynamics regarding the process of travelling at speeds which affect the actual passage of time on differing vessels. For eg, if someone was to travel in excess of the speed of light , he could theoretically return to earth after a few minutes and the time elapsed for everyone else could be months/years depending on the speed travelled. I have assumed all things are equal in your initial question so answered 4 years 6 months but the time would in reality be slightly less assuming the perspective of time elapsed was not from someone on either satellite.
In any event, even if they are the same speed at different orbit distances the answer would be the same as one is faster than orbiting the earth than the other one 4 years 6 months
I never focused on the 27…i focused on thirds and ninths if i recall?
What relevance is 27 … 3 and 9 are factor of 18 as well so why 27?
In this quiz mafia…no one said any satellite was faster. It’s a maths puzzle.
Of course it’s faster or it wouldn’t orbit at 3 times the speed of the other one

The answer is 4 years and 6 months whatever relevance is given or not given lol. It’s common sense that the faster satellite will catch the slower one at that time. Plenty is irrelevant as we saw in that last quiz regarding the skull / bones etc.. the 27 is irrelevant.
The 3 and the 9 is irrelevant Mister Q in being factors of 27 , be interesting to see what dracs answer is … my final answer is 4 years 6 months for when the faster satellite catches up with the slower one again.

Infact knock 2 months off , my answer is 4 years and 6 months as the faster satellite will be halfway round its second circuit and the slower one with be halfway round its first
