northern delicacy??? yorkshire must not be too north then :D

never in my life have i met anyone in yorkshire who eats pigeons :-…

if i ever do, i will kiss the french flag and make a new thread stating that eating snails is a socially accepted thing to do.

the two most evil acts of treason a Britisher could ever make !

(but it’s ok.. because never has the topic of eating pigeons popped up in a pub so my Britishness is pretty secure!)

FFS Thomas – Yorkshire is deep South !!!!!!!!!!!!

Only Northumberland , Cumbria or Scotland can be counted as North

There are signs on the major motorways like the M1 and A1(M) which say The North. I am not sure where that changes but it would be some indictation where the North did actually start! Anyone got an idea? Can’t be as far south as the Watford Gap could it?

I much prefer just trying to talk to a girl normally, to see if she’s interesting, fun, etc rather than using corny lines……. but that don’t work either so if anyone has any good lines I’m listening!!!

thats how u had ur tongue doon sumone’s throat in the pic;s on forum 1… lol

Nowt gets passed you eh MaryJ

Personally I don’t like corny chat up lines. I suppose in a bar I would just say “Hello, can I buy you a drink?” and take it from there. If she said “fuck off” then I would take the hint.

However, I heard a good one on, ermm I think it was The Weakest Link when Anne Robinson asked a young single bloke for his best chat up line. It went something like this:

Chancer:”Did you hear what happened to the overweight polar bear?”

    Beautiful girl: “No :? “

Chancer: “Well it broke the ice”

    Made me laugh!

Nothing wrong with having to return to work because the money has run out. We all have to live and it’s the main reason we work. However, I agree with the others that you should try and return even though it must be difficult as you have told us your state of mind. Sitting at home only makes your mind play tricks and think up all the worst scenarios. If you go back you may find the new position is acceptable to you and as I saw you just reached your 56th birthday, then working in government you will be entitled to a pension at 60 (am I making the wrong assumption here?) so it may be to your benefit to stick it out. It is a shame that none of your colleagues have offered any support. Make sure you don’t cut off your nose to spite your face and make the best decision for yourself.

    p.s.
You don’t work for JP do you? If so, you could sell any kiss and tell stories you may have come across during your time there. If you don’t work for JP then I hear he is having difficulty getting someone to work with him, so send him your cv. However it may only be a short-term appointment.

    Good Luck xxx

I thought the giving out of goldfish at fairs as prizes had been banned!

dont tell my kevin that!!!!!!!!! [-X

I remember the RSPCA campaigning to stop it, as it is cruel to the fish. I am a great believer in all animals living in their natural environment and not the artificial ones created by humans!

You could ask Kevin to try and win you a cuddly toy next time.

kevin is my goldfish an hes very happy in his new home.even as a armless mermaid fa company!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you are confusing real life with the world of Disney (or Pixar as was). Whilst I myself love the film Finding Nemo, I would hope that sort of human behavior wasn’t the norm!

    ermmmmmmmmmm.okay then…………… :-k

Don’t worry about it, as long as you are happy!

    :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D i’ll tell kevin.

I wouldn’t bother, he wont remember!

i told him he sed thanks for ur concern.but he finds life in my fountain far more fun than the plastic fair bag…and hes in love wiv the armless mermaid.

Goldfish are real animals, mermaids are not! However, if mermaids WERE living creatures, then an armless one would be one to console. I bet you even have a son called ‘Pinocchio’ and give him a good rubbing down once a week whether he needs it or not.

    that med me giggle. :D

You’re easily pleased, so I think the goldfish is the perfect pet for you!

hes alredy calling me mummy. 8)

Well it’s either you or the mermaid, and as she has no arms, he can’t get a hug off her!
