um yeah ok so here goes nothin
yo trawler wassup man how they hangin
so heres me tellin you i hear tell theys free food up fer grabs here and im tellin ya im in. dont be fooled by my cool name cuz i aint one a them hoity toity english chicks – i am all yank and dern proud of it. and not one of them trashy yanks neither – ima well bred broad and way international *wipes nose on sleeve all posh like* Parleze sproiken se doitch (see – spanish even).
ok and i aint gonna say much about my competition (what sad lot there is) cuz i aint that rude but i hear tell one of em is such a tramp that her crabs have morphed into saber-toothed crotch crickets and no one in their cotton-pickin mind gonna put their todger in that huh *elbows you hard in the ribs*
so i figure you are ok since ya never scrolled a slag off paragraph about me 500 times in the room and you never asl-ed me in pm. come to think of it, you never responded to any of my pms but i think you must fall asleep a lot cuz you leave the room all quiet like right after i ding ya.
ok so what else. oh yeah. testimonials. i dont really have a favorite but the book of matthew and the rest of them gospel boys from the new testimonial aint too bad. its hard to remember so good cuz they wont let me in the church no more and i dont got any of them books.
yeah so more good stuff about me – i usually use silverware, i try to use a kleenex when i am diggin out any deep boogers and i pretty much remember to spray after stinkin up the loo and if that aint a lady well then mister you tell me what is!
so since you will probably be pickin me as yer date, i will start looking now for a pair of undies with not too many holes and most the elastic left in case you get lucky *winks and nudges you hard in the ribs again*. yeah so whatever. call me or somethin and let me know where and when. or i can just meet you at the pump & munch gas station. thats where i usually wait for dates.
ok bye fer now,
taffygirl (call me taffs for short or taffeta for long but just dont call me late for our date *elbows you in the ribs one more time*)
10 January, 2013 at 7:54 pm #517159Longest serving chatter – I am too new to know who has been here the longest.
Shortest serving chatter – LambsBread
Most giving and understanding chatter – Money Penny. Hands down this lady will chat with any and all whether in room or pm with wit, style, class and grace. She never has a disparaging word to say about anyone and embraces all equally. By far the best overall chatter in JC.
Most charming chatter – Rusty Trawler. The ideal male counterpart to Money Penny. Rusty is articulate, intelligent, attentive and protective/supportive of his fellow chatters. His humor is just edgy enough to be delightful and I really enjoy when he is vocal in the room.
Most lesbian chatter – LucyLocket. Although this is a sexist (no pun intended) award, Lucy is out and proud. She is another one of the most upbeat and lovely chatters the room is blessed with.
Most feisty chatter – Mcfc for Life. Although he can get obnoxious at times, Gam reminds me of a wee terrier all snappy and growly. I quite like his animated sass. Honorable mention here goes to Bluenose_58, especially if you dare to slag Scotland.
Most reformed chatter – Cosy. Since I don’t know much about the history of anyone here I am going more on heresay but he seems to have changed enough to sway his detractors to see him in a different light.
Most missed chatter – OMalley. His lovely cat antics are sorely missed and I always hope to see his return.
Most name changing chatter – Cherry XL. Because she does it to delight others and make chat more bubbly and lively. One time she pmed me to come back with her under a silly new name and make it a duo to cheer up a chatter who was down. She always makes me smile.
Most attentive chatter – Nice Female. Not because she takes notes but because she notices everything and always has a fun reply. Honorable mention goes to Jadey. She is always on the ball and whether you love or hate her sass she is inclusive and protective as a mother bear.
Biggest shyte stirrer – Hugh Johnson. He riles everyone up and is an equal opportunity antagonist. I do enjoy his ability to set the room on fire and take on the room nasties with glee. His best quality is to draw attention away from someone who is being picked on and draw the bullies attentions to himself. I somehow feel safer chatting when he is in the room.
Person with most ability to cheap wine a guide off – Moonshadow.
Most irritating chatter – A-Revisionist
Biggest moaner – Topper
…and some additional awards…
Best chatter not residing in the UK – Texas Ernie. He is thoughtful, respectful of his fellows across the pond and quick to apologize if his yank humor is misinterpreted by his British chatmates. I think he is the role-model for many of us.
Hospitality Award – Hannahwasblonde. She greets all without judgement of their name and whether she gets a response or not she makes everyone feel welcome and often will draw a newbie out to chat in-room. I picture her at the door with nametags and cuppas directing where to find snacks and the restroom.
The Gentlemans Club – Rusty Trawler, Texas Ernie, 45Essexm (Les), Coach Driver, Peterpan, Ed (new Ed), Tainted Halo and Tintin666. Although I don’t always act like a lady in the room, these men never fail to treat me like one. Their good-natured teasing is delightful and their presence in the room is like sunshine and fresh air.
Biggest Brit Wanna-Be – well me of course *giggles*

24 December, 2012 at 10:12 am #516376Thank you J and Lucy for the kind words – happy holidays to you both xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
23 December, 2012 at 6:40 pm #516372Lucy – what a beautiful idea to create a safe space to share the pain and emptiness of trying to celebrate this holiday while coping with the grief of loss. I am sorry there are those who have attempted to make a mockery of your effort.
I am raw with pain at the loss of my husband and keep these feeling inside as to not dampen the spirit of the season for others around me, especially my children. But every night I go to bed I cry. There are times I can barely make it though supper so that I can retreat the safety of my room to sob into my pillow as to not be heard. I know there are others who feel the same way and are supportive. I enjoy the times in chat when things are lighthearted and fun and I can just dissociate for a little while and forget about the real world.
I know there are others out there who are hurting too and I cringe each time I see cruelty typed in the room but the good seems to outweigh the bad and I think I am finally able to brush off the slag attempts at myself though I still bristle and confront the nastiness towards others and not always in the most charitable manner.
I guess what I am saying is kudos for your lovely idea and safe or not I feel better for unloading that. Thank you honey and Merry Christmas to you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dear Santa,
Can you please give the pretentious, up their own arses, judgemental people who think making sarky comments at others makes them look clever a pair of blinkers so they can ignore the posts that so obviously offend them and allow them to concentrate on their own self-preening.
Those that have gone ahead that I miss so much already know but they’d better be planning my welcoming party for when I eventually join them…hopefully later rather than sooner!
Thank you (and please just drink the sherry in the glass and not the whole bottle this year)
xxwell said jen
