Muslims who want to live under Islamic Shari law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the other country. Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslims who did not want to accept local values should “clear off. Basically people who don’t want to be Australians, and who don’t want, to live by Australian values and understand them, well then, they can basically clear off”, he said.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Sweets, I have another slightly more left of field view- if you’re English, no matter what you’re colour, you have a right to an opinion. Waspish (on here) is half or quarter Australian- does that disenfranchise her from having a view she can share? She’s no more English than any 3rd generation BWI or British Indian/Pakistani/Sri Lankan and hence they have a view to
And in final I;d say to anyone, of any colour, creed, and race- if you don’t like it here, no matter how long you’ve lived here (10, 100, 1000 years)- find somewhere else you will like….and leave, just like the Aussie says
But if you’ve read previous posts of mine Slayer you’ll see I’ve said exactly the same thing.. Colour is of no importance to me.. what bothers me..and it does !!.. Is immigrants who come here just because we are a soft touch, the ones who know you don’t have to have a job, profession, place to live or money to support you whilst you’re here.. If you give to this country then you have a right to an opinion.if you don’t… no matter what colour you are… you either shut up or fvck off :!: :!:
