True soulie Outlook is an application that lets you read your e-mail but it does’nt block viruses and worms unlike Hotmail. Even if you opened Hotmail through Outlook, Hotmail would still of filtered the worm so Outlook could not be infected by it.

What im trying to say is it is impossible to get the said worm through Hotmail. You would have to of opened this in Outlook to of been infected.

The only way you could of received the file through Hotmail was if the worm was encrypted into a file and when it was opened it ran some dos command on your computer and decrypts itself in to the worm but i find this highly unlikey. That is the only way it could happen.

First you come on here and say you’ve been infected by the I-LOVE-YOU worm through Hotmail when i know for a FACT Hotmail scan attachments before the E-mail is sent and before attachments are opened. Then you trying to tell me Spybot cleans your system of I-LOVE-YOU. WTF are you on?

I-LOVE-YOU infects through Outlook dumbass, (go and google it) And your comp would’nt be fine your jpegs and and other media would of be over written with the worm source code and given a .vbs extension you registry would be tits up too.

Well done, you just been infected by one seriously annoying Virus. This Virus copies itself into the Windoze directory placing Win32dll.vbs and LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs, and even worse if it’s variant one, say goodbye to jpegs, mp3’s, mp2’s it will also HideSharePwds, DisablePwdCaching, alter your registry and loads of other annoying stuff.

Never ever under no circumstances give out your Outlook addy. Your just asking for it and it’s kinda Dumb.
