Go here http://www.download.com/3001-8022_4-10307556.html?idl=n and download Hijackthis. Make sure you save this file to your desktop. Now open Hijackthis and click on the button that says do a system scan and save logfile.

When the scan has completed it will open a log file in notepad. I want you to copy and post the complete logfile please.

Well it appears that you have’nt fully deleted IE6. Even when you delete IE6 you still leave some registry keys behind and once you re-install IE these registry keys then become valid to the new installation, hence why your still having these probs. Why dont you just boot from the installation disc and and format the partition/drive that way and then install?
