    My memories of Tin.

    – gravy boats of custard in restaraunts
    – kneeling down headbanging
    – walls vibrating
    – that great escape from the hospice
    – personalised blue parking space
    – longer hair than me
    – his bible
    – Banging my head on his Aston martin
    – carpet glue fingers
    – saving his customised Chelsea F1 chair from the rain
    – his shortcuts that took the longest scenic route ever
    – clematis in his garden (who’s was the biggest)
    – his personalised footy shirt (samsung) hehe
    – his chat (although he had to repeat in English)
    – Tripping over his oxygen pipe (several times)
    – Being scared
    – Being Brave

You may not get it but it doesn’t matter…. He did.

Thank you Tin for being my friend, miss you.

Happy anniversary, i hope next year is a barbed wire free year

For those who dont know the barbed wire story:

weve taken up walking in the pleasant peaceful countryside, gentle strolls is what i had in mind……..

went out with sarnies, flask, map, compass and eyeliner, got to the river n decided to take a break, both of us had a little snooze till we were woken by a river soaked rabid dog jumping all over us! got the map out and i says “lets take this footpath” famous last words huh ☺ …

off we trundled over a stile and across a lovely green field, blue skys above, listning to the birds singing, and making our way to the opposite side of the field to the next stile…. then…. we saw them…. KILLER COWS!! with about 20 yards to go before we reached the stile i made for the brambles and ant riddden dead trees while Toy flung the rucksack, then himself over a barbed wire fence… it was every man for himself. my panic struck mind was still aiming me in the direction of the stile which was only 10 yards and 7 hours treck through the brambles and thorns… till i got stuck like a fly in a spiders web!

then Toy shouts,, you gotta get over the fence NOW… being the dutiful wife that i am, but mainly cos i knew i would be killed by Killer cows, i gave up the mad kind of logic of heading towards the stile and flew (pierced) myself over the barbed wire…. knocked toy to the ground and hit the ground with a thud! the bumps on my head kinda complimented the branches in my hair and thorns sticking out of my arms & legs.

up we got and looked back at the Killer Cows, already just 1 yard away from where i was just 5 seconds ago…. i reckon i would have ended up like mincemeat n squashed tomatoes if i had stayed where was.

phew!! after all the vomitting and shaking had ceased and got the dead branches outta mi hair, recovered my boot from the barbed wire fence and stemmed the blood dripping down my arms, we turned to cross the field… low and behold 1st thing we saw was a sign … BEWARE OF THE BULL!!

it felt like one of those obsticle courses on its a knock out, we sidled our way against the fence to the bottom of the field to a 2 foot muddy steep banking, waded across a stream, clambered up the muddy banking on the other side and over another flipin barbed wire fence….. at least the mud has covered my bleeding arms i thought…. we escaped yeah!! big smiles all round thanking our lucky stars and realising god really must love us…. not one animal in sight wasnt even a field… then it registered… loudly… just like the till at tescos when youve spent too much …. we were in the middle of an MOD Artillery Firing Range!!

have you ever had that feeling that no matter what happens you just keep on going…. (mainly due to the fact we couldnt turn back due to bulls and Killer Cows) that things cant get any worse? well…….. it can and it does!

anyway after ducking and diving we eventually found our way to an 8 foot fence then a road and made our way home squelching feet, bleeding arms, torn clothes, mud splattered faces and shell shocked.

    quite an uneventful day really…….

Thank you all for your kind wishes XXX
