35.
31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful, & practical.
They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who
makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who’s extremely loyal to
friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return.29 January, 2007 at 8:59 am #258088I agree with AbitofMary, the Toyota Yaris one is funny.
I used to love the WKD adverts too but they don’t seem to advertise now. :(29 January, 2007 at 8:56 am #108957Beautiful poem. My thoughts are with you.
3 January, 2007 at 12:04 am #254534It’s not a case of proving who’s right and who’s wrong. I’m extremely open-minded, shame the same can’t be said about you.
Not everybody grows up in a wonderful family, goes off to college and then ends up in a high paying job. Unfotunately, life is not like that. People come across all sorts of things in life that may prevent them from going on to do bigger things.
As for your comments about a mortgage being a luxury, come and live in the real world. I’ve “earned” the right to have a mortgage after grafting for the last 16 years but I wouldn’t call it a luxury. It was a house that I could just about afford and sadly there were no available trees in my woods to house myself, my partner and two children. The mortgage is the only thing I owe money on, everything else I worked hard for without taking out credit or loans.
No matter how much money someone earns the tax system will never be fair. I’ve worked countless hours of overtime in some jobs only to have it eaten up by the tax man, but that’s just the way it is. I don’t like it any more than the next person but that’s life!
You come across as being arrogant and single-minded. Clever? Maybe you are but I’d rather be clever and polite anyday.2 January, 2007 at 9:20 pm #254532Your arguments are so shallow and unrealistic that I can’t even be bothered having this out with you.
You carry on living in the woods with your £100,000 a year and I hope you are very happy in “your world”.2 January, 2007 at 8:59 am #254530Tell me someone who’s clever who doesn’t earn a good living through no fault of their own?
You seem to think that everyone goes to school, then college and then goes on to earn a fantastic living. Like I said a lot of people don’t have the opportunity whether they are clever or not.People like nurses have extensive traing to go through but only earn a small wage but they are making a big difference to peoples lives.
What they learn isnt worth much financially, unless you get to grade G atleast.
No, but thay are still making a big difference to peoples lives. Also, if you are earning £100,000 a year, yes you do pay higher taxes but you can also have a pretty nice lifestyle.
They earnt it.
I don’t dispute that they haven’t earnt it and fair play to them for having such a good wage.Mortgages and cars etc are luxuries.
I’ve never heard of a mortgage being a luxury! Whether you own a home or rent it’s a necessity. Cars may be a luxury but some people need them to get to work in the first place.Your opinions seem very black and white which is a shame. To insinuate that people on a low wage aren’t clever is a terrible slur on people. Not everybody is money orientated and perhaps do a job for pleasure rather than gain, this doesn’t make them any less clever.

31 December, 2006 at 11:45 pm #254524I don’t think it’s necessarily about people being more clever. You can be clever and only earn £10,000 a year. Some people don’t get the opportunity to go into jobs earning a lot of money for different reasons.
Regardless of how much you earn everybody is contributing to society in their own way. People like nurses have extensive traing to go through but only earn a small wage but they are making a big difference to peoples lives.
Also, if you are earning £100,000 a year, yes you do pay higher taxes but you can also have a pretty nice lifestyle. But at the end of the day we still have mortgages, cars, bills etc. to pay for and it’s a little more difficult for people to make ends meet on a smaller wage. -
