I remember Pete before he was famous, he worked in a record shop called “Probe” in Liverpool city centre. He dressed over the top then and always stood out in his indie style of dressing , his clothes with feathers hanging from them! he looked like a huge dream catcher. He was quite feared by the many customers that didn’t share his taste in music., once you worked up the courage to ask for a certain record, they said they could feel him stare into their soul, he’d pout and either walk off and ignore the request or grab the record and throw it at them over the counter haha., he was a character even before he was famous that’s for sure, he had a waspish, sharp sense of humour
If we can surmount the silliness of racism to the point where no one senses it, we will be in fine condition. The most effective way to begin this, through the words of Morgan Freeman, is to “Stop Talking About It!!
Dedicated to the memory of the founder and lead singer of Odyssey Lillian Lopez Collazo Jackson, who died in a hospice in 2012 due to stage 4 cancer aged 76, who along with her sister Louise formed Odyssey the band
I sometimes help in clearing a disused cemetery of its over growth of weeds etc. Before it was a cemetery it was a quarry dating from 1775,the stone that was quarried was used to build the old docks and the town hall in Liverpool. After the quarry was exhausted of its stone the council decided to turn it into a cemetery. This sunken 10 acres of land holds over 57,577 graves, some of these graves belong to people who worked at the local work house, also children from the local Orphanage’s around Liverpool .Some notable people also lay there in their catacombs. The rich had their catacombs and vaults, while the poor were buried in pits, with a thin layer of soil on top at the end of the day, ready for the next days poor! I have seen things that I can’t explain. Today it is an urban park behind the Liverpool Cathedral that is below ground level. I also help people who contact us regarding people who are buried there. I often get emails from People doing family trees or simply people looking for lost relations ,I will search the data base for them. Many of the graves were moved in the late 70s to make way for the urban park it is today.
I was sent this photo via the cemetery website. See if any of you lot can spot the spooky apparition of a man in 18th century clothing or simply a double exposure of the camera. You judge for yourselves.
