Linda, lovely thoughts while sitting there day dreaming watching the world go by. Everything is clearer when you’re in love :) I’m sitting here wondering will this rain every stop! lots to do in the garden, painting shed, fence , pruning etc. Then I think if we didn’t get so much rain we wouldn’t have such a beautiful green and lush country. Two ways of looking at things I suppose. Glass half full instead of half empty. Meanwhile the paint lays in the shed for another day :) Dark nights are drawing in, clocks go back soon ! Wont lose the spring in my step!!

Big hugs. Happy thoughts. Good vibes :) x

Me? I’m scared of everything. I’m scared of what I saw, I’m scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you.❤❤❤ ( words from my fav scene )

Thin you are a patronising little man! My aren’t you the perfect male species with no vices haha. Why type stupid comments if you don’t mean it? You are the type of person who trys to twist what other people say. Many of your tongue in cheek comments I’ve witnessed are very spiteful and hurtful. You might take that on board and change how you come across. I simply see a jerk who needs to grow up, man up or stfu! Also, don’t try second guess what I might say next! Or are you a mind reader?  Your previous bans were totally justified mores the pity some people came out to support you. Wont bother reading what crap you come back with, I’m not wasting anymore of my time. I also never assume or suggest ,that’s your department :)

Thin, I think what Linda is implying should everyone with an addiction be exterminated? “Bad choice of words for a grown man!”Many  things are a strain on the NHS and its budget. Smoking? drinking?  Obesity ? all these issues are addictive habits. But all’s not bad Thin, if you take a 40 year old man with lung cancer and doesn’t live past 41, then he’s saved the NHS a lot of money than a man who lives into old age and then needs lots of care , hospital visits, tests, prescriptions for long term medication the list goes on. We have An ageing population which is costing the NHS millions as older people live longer. The tax on 20 fags with a price of £8.50 is £6.98 so most smokers are paying for their treatment? Didn’t you have a health scare sometime back? do you think it was money well spent or did you have to change your ways, habits, lifestyle? I don’t smoke , never have! but, I don’t go saying people should be “exterminated” Who is to blame for smoking? blame society, blame the doctors who in the 60s glamorized smoking by appearing in their white coats telling viewers how good a cool long king size fag can be good for you!!We also had children’s cartoon shows with characters telling them what fags to buy for eg Fred flintstone, Yogi bear this list goes on.  I still cant believe visiting my sister in the maternity wing and being shocked at mothers holding their babies with a fag in their mouths! imagine that happening today? No wonder kids couldn’t wait to try smoking, Many of the older movies contain tobacco imagery,  This is due to the influence and funding from tobacco companies. Money talks and money going up in smoke makes the tobacco companies rich. Blame them!!!!

Hi Linda! I’ve heard some horror stories about vaping. I’m thankful I am not addicted to smoking! they cost a fortune only to kill you in the end lol. I can’t understand how people who have never smoked take up vaping? what’s the point in that! Someone posted these pics on my facebook group only this morning. I was never aware their could be any dangers with vaping. I’m sure in the future sadly we will be looking at health issues people will be dealing with caused by these vape machines.

    These are the pictures.

Hiya soms! just spotted your message. yeah I do a little bet most weekends. When my dad was ill 6 years ago i would write his bets for him. A yankee double  or treble ! all pretty complicated to me :) id never heard of words like ” Ante-post, Handicap, National Hunt, photo finish etc. I soon got the knack. I got to know all the old experts in the bookies chatting and having a little banter. My dad, brothers and mates went to the Irish curragh every year including the stud farms. Mixing in these circles they would get the odd tips sent to them. I still get tips  now and again  i’ve given them out in here :) Welshy even won £150 I think she treated herself to some jewelry. Lancs man had a few wins with tips I passed onto him. Don’t see him in here anymore :(..Years ago my best friends dad was a marker in the bookies this was before computers lol   as the saying goes “You have to speculate to accumulate” Good luck for the next cheltenham week 2020 x

Mooo, stick with getting better and leave the geegees to the experts haha

Kielbasa skillet stew. This is a polish dish and one of my fav comfort foods now the cold weather is almost here. I will post a pic next time i cook it.

I buy cooked polish kielbasa sausage and cook 5 pieces of crispy cooked bacon or lardons. Chop one onion. You can add  butter beans, cannellini beans, haricot bean or kidney beans ( whatever you like) 2 cans of tomato paste,  one 4oz can of chilli or fresh chopped green chilli. 2 medium carrots, thinly sliced.1/2 medium green pepper, chopped. 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.1/2 teaspoon dried thyme and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

If your bacon and sausage are cooked stir in  all the other ingredients  bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Crumble bacon and  sprinkle over stew. This is a recipe you can mess around with adding what you want.
