Yes, black comedy and poking fun at ourselves and those in a position of power or influence is a British thing and sometimes is very good but to target an elderly man – who was with his wife in hospital at the time in this manner was way beyond what is acceptable. We have enough problems with lack of respect to the elderly and in society in general and these two morons nearly got away with something like this and that we have a few who cannot see the harm in it only emphasises how bad this has become and how low standards have become seen as normal on TV and radio.
There is a lot of difference between stretching boundaries and trying out new things than to get cheap laughs out of an old man who has more important things on his mind than these two fish!
I havent seen anyone blame the grandaughter for the incident.

The grandaughter sh/agged a very famous, notorious, womaniser who has a media persona which is over the top and consistently at the edge of what is and isnt funny. Just like so many of us who have sh/agged someone and then thought, “perhaps that wasnt the greatest thing I could have done”, you reap what you sow and sh/agging Russell Brand was not very bright…and Brand boasting was typically infantile and not that funny. Thats pretty much all there is to it- you wil hear this type of conversation in tens of thousands of pubs every weekend- two blokes discussing the previous nights encounters- nothing new, not that funny but very very very normal. The hysterical reaction to a normal event for many many of us is somewhat bemusing
What I will continue to say is the grandaughter can never claim to be concerrned about the impact on her grandfather of her sexual shennanigans with Brand whilst she continues to humiliate him in her very public Satanic Slut persona.

Perhaps she should look at her own life- I’d say being in a band which uses Nazi imagery, naked models dressed in German world war 2 style uniforms, makes a play on words on the “Blood and Honour” organisation etc- I’d say thats pretty humiliating for her Jewish grandfather, wouldnt you.

It is not the name of the band- it the whole website (have a click, go on).
I have not denied that the original stunt wasnt that funny and wasnt in great taste. What is undeniable is her indignation is based on her grandfathers reaction. However she appears to have no issues with being involved in an organisation/band which has, amongst its website, what appears to be crass Nazi imagery and not care what her grandfather thinks- so why the indignation then?

What I am trying to say is, that if the situation was at all comical or humerous he would probably have got away with it. She would eventually have laughed it off, and it would all have been forgotten. But it wasn’t and she didn’t but it will anyway.

Firstly I meant to say Blood and Honour is a global neo nazi music promotion movement.
Secondly, when considering her grandfather fled nazi genocide, she should be more concerned about how he feels about the fact she’s in Satanic Sluts rather than worried about him finding out she’s sha/gged a comedian.
I don’t like Russell Brands style of comedy but the vitriol and vilification launched at him over this, without thought or consideration, is astounding.
Comedy is comedy- its horses for courses and her version of comedy (which I assume the SS are) is no different to Russell Brands

The “S” on Satanic Sluts appears very similar to the SS insignia of the German Army in World War II.
Also the Satanic Sluts website has a section called “Blood and Dishonour” (with the “Dis” sideways)- “Blood and Honour” is the global neo nazi movement.

I wouldnt suggest for a second they are nazi’s or anything like that but the website is in very very poor taste- and for Andrew Sachs grandaughter to show indignation at how her grandfather might react to being told she has sh/agged Russell Brand without appearing to be aware how he may feel about her being in the Satanic Sluts is, to my mind, somewhat hypocritical

No, it wasnt greatly funny..to me- but thats what comedy is about- for every Dad’s Army fan, there will be a Chubby Brown fan (or like me, you like both!)- horses for courses.
The main thrust of the media has been that Brand (and Ross) left messages on Andrew Sachs phone which were deeply hurtful to him- my point is, if Andrew Sachs has followed his grandaughters career so far I dont think Russell Brand saying he’s sha/gged her is the worst thing he has seen or heard! Particularly when he has shagged her!!

Her incredible indignation at the incident which could have affected her relationship with her grandfather “for life” (from her press statement) does not go so far as to think her grandfather may be affected by his grandaughter being in a band called the Satanic Sluts. Forgive me but the term “satanic” is normally associated with the devil, evil etc and the term “sluts” normally applies to sexually promiscuous.

Actually sh/agging someone gives you lots of rights- the right to the fact you’ve shared bodily fluids and the right to the fact that it happened. The fact he bragged about it may be indelicate or insensitive but it is also a truth not a lie.

Let me get this straight
A radio presenter has boasted on his radio show that he has sh/agged someone, via a series of phone messages to this said recipient’s grandfather.
It appears he did actually sleep with the aforementioned – a member of a band called the Satanic Sluts.
The messgaes, whilst not particularly gratifying, were not in any way obscene in terms of language (f*ck, c*nt etc) nor were they particularly explicit. They simply stated Russell Brand had slept with Andrew Sachs grand daughter (which he had!!!!!!) and then followed with a couple of comments regarding “bending over the sofa” or some such like. Hardly earth shattering
So a radio show presenter tells the truth, perhaps lacking in some sensitivity and delicacy granted, and the whole world is going to end.
The vast majority of complaints are from people who havent heard ANY of the actual material which is in question but have been led by a tabloid media.

I am not a Russell Brand fan- i find his comedy pretentious and false BUT people, get a feckin life please.
I met the current Mrs Slayer at work 7 years ago.
Apparently I “winked” at her across the office- as I have no recollection of “winking” at anyone, I can only assume I had something in my eye which she mistook for an expression of affection (thank god I didnt have a banana in my pocket).
Either way, it was as honorary members of the Complicated Lives Club that we began our clandestine relationship before outing ourselves the following year for lots of reasons, not least of which, I’m her boss at work and she is 10 years younger than me.
I have absolutely no idea what she sees in me but it must be good.
Anyway, 4 years ago we got married (round 2 for us both, we enjoy wedding cake :) ), 2 years ago we (the “royal” we) gave birth to a lil boy (my fourth, Mrs Slayer’s first) and I’ve had to buy a bigger boat.
Funny old life really.
