Welcome to JC- I’m sure you’ll find it illuminating if you stick around.
On the BNP issue, the majority of people in this country care not one jot what creed, colour or race you are…if you’re English mate then I’m afraid you’re stuck with it. You wave the flag, you sing God save the Queen (unless you’re a republican that is), cheer for…[Read more]

Your point is still lost on me Wasp
This march was ALL communities in Bradford- yes, thats right, British Muslims waving the flag of St George alongside all others.
If your point is that the parade was stopped from going through the area of the riots then its true it was, but the organisers were offered decent alternatives they could have taken…[Read more]

Very true Pete
In fact, if you went out into the street and asked 100 people who they supported politically and then asked them all when St Georges day was, the response from Conservative, Labour, Libs and BNP supporters would be pretty much the same- “doh?”

PB
I’ve had a google on this one and its a bit more interesting than you’d think
This parade was a joint community (Muslim, CoE, Hindu- all then feckers) parade, with predominantly children, many of whom had already made the cross of St George flag etc.
Now credit where’s it due in Wasp’s direction (even if she didnt mean it like this) but…[Read more]

I’d be interested to know who the organisers were
It’s really no better than an Orange parade through Nationalist parts of Belfast and in some ways both sides (ie the extremes) are no better.
The fact they were offered alternative routes in Bradford to “celebrate” St Georges day and didnt want to take them up on the offer really says it all

We havent had a majority government since 1951 (and that was a coalition)- in fact we havent had a proper majority governemnt since before women had the vote.
Fact is, the UK elections are decided in a small number of constituencies with a minute proportion of the electorate truly affecting outcome- and to suggest spoiling ballot papers in one of…[Read more]

Wasp hunny- its nothing to do with opinion polls or the public, its to do with the law- the BNP cannot legally be denied a ppb of they field a certain number of candidates-they reached whatever figure it is and legally the beeb cannot stop them
Climbdown it may be but it’s feck all to do with joe bloggs in the street n more to do with bnp lawyers

I cannot imagine as a parent what it must have…

Its a facile argument
Leicester City is not made up of 11 players who are all born in Leicester- Lincoln City does not have 11 players born in Lincoln
Whats the difference? Just cos Arsenal dont have 11 English players doesn’t make them a “none” English team

No, what you have is subjective opinion NOT evidence
