I don’t play these type of games.
fiddling with the desires of other people is a woeful thing to do and one should never participate in a cyber campaign for this kind of thing.
Shame on you!

17 February, 2013 at 4:57 pm #518476Nice to meet you
You were doing perfectly ok keeping up in the room from what I observed today, so keep up the good work.

Thank you Su, for being an all-round jolly good egg, superlative librarian, keeper of jiggy secrets and mostly for composing a letter very few men would have the necessary decency, compassion to write.
Sometimes the conversations in the chatroom and the boards get a bit fraught as we bring our offline angst into the cyber world, but this thread has, for me at least, been a real blast and has shown that with a little bit of mutual respect we can take mickey, be a little bit naughty and no-one need spit their dummy out.
Have a lovely Valentine’s day
Pleasure was all mine, Sir.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you

13 February, 2013 at 12:31 am #517447Typed from the dictations of Mr. R Trawler, esq.
My dearest friend and potential paramour,
I am most humbled by your attentions and I sincerely enjoy our interactions. I would be truly honoured to have had the pleasure of your company for my cyber date. However, it would be most ungentlemanly of me to choose just one lovely lady from the beautiful ensemble before me. You are all lovely in your own unique ways and I cannot, in good faith, favour one treasure over another (and it would be impolite of me to choose several!)
I therefore regretfully inform you that Valentine’s Day, for me, will be spent in the company of my fellow men as we languish in the relative safety of JC Forum 3 of the Gentleman’s club until the wee hours. Should you wish to still converse with me on this day, or indeed subsequent occasions, I shall be overjoyed to see you there, even those of you who subsequently withdrew your applications!
May I take this opportunity to express my delight at your good company and genuine laughs and I hope that you have had as much fun as I have during the course of this application process. Those of you who have the good fortune of having someone to share true Valentine romance with, may you be blessed in the knowledge that your beau is a very (VERY!) lucky man indeed. I myself would have been unworthy of such pleasures but I have relished the opportunity to escape the oppressive walls of the Trawler Estate, albeit briefly, and indulge my fantasies as a lascivious Lothario lavishly lulling the lovely JC ladies into a lair of love with promises of Jiggy, Chocolate and/or other such delights.
Thanks to the braver of the JC chaps too, for their contributions and support and may you be successful in your ongoing endeavours to search for the holy grail of requited love.
Happy Valentine’s Day to one and all.
Rusty x
PS If you would like the safe return of your application form, photographs(s), videos and other enticements, please forward a stamped-addressed envelope to my PA together with a contribution towards the postage costs. (I am essentially a Yorkshireman and, thus, thrift is my middle name).
12 February, 2013 at 11:14 pm #517442Memo to Master and Lord of Trawler Enterprises:
Dear Master
I cannot believe that you considered for even a second of your time to place the contact details and photographs of all these wonderful women into the grubby paws of some of the more lecherous members of the JC Working Men’s Club (handily adjacent to the JC Gentleman’s establishment) in the scheme of ‘selling to the highest bidder’ … I am shocked and dismayed, (and rather intrigued at the prices to which some men were prepared to bid before I put an end to the cattle market) at such common behaviour being displayed and my delicate sensibilities were all a dither. I hope that my sound words and good advice are heeded (and that I will receive a suitable bonus on payday).
Of course, the JenJen dossier being couriered to Interpol was a decision you took in my absence, (whilst I was summoned to place back a book on one of the highest shelves in the JC Gentleman’s library. Quite why there was a roomful of helpers ready to cushion my fall, I fail to understand, but the hush of silence as I climbed the ladder to the the top was surely for safety purposes only).
Suffice to say: nobody has signed for the parcel at Interpol and the courier has not been seen or heard from since. What a mystery to be unravelled. What fate could possibly have befallen him?
Put it this way; JenJen owes me an invitation to Wedding Number 20 (I know she was only up to husband number 18 but a few weeks have elapsed and she is incredibly efficient with her time and energies).
I have archived the files, as requested and I am currently in the process of contacting all of the ladies in question who applied for the vacancy of cyber Valentine’s date, even the (quite considerable number actually!) ones who have subsequently withdrawn their applications.
I shall leave the copies of letter you dictated to me on your desk for you to sign upon your return from the Gentleman’s Club. Please treat this matter with utmost urgency as they will require posting tomorrow in order for the ladies to be aware of the outcome by the day in question.

Oh go on minx, just put some effort in, the process is still running I understand . . . .
To whom it may concern
The process is indeed still running and (as Mr. Trawler’s very recently appointed PA) I need to announce that the deadline rapidly approaches.
All applications are judged on their own merits, but Mr. Trawler needs some ‘thinking time’ in which to organise said cyber date, dependent upon the successful applicant. For example, no point ordering chocolates for Miss MoneyPenny or book anywhere with a revolving door for Ms Pankhurst …)
So … applications received after midnight tomorrow will unfortunately not be considered. Likewise, applications withdrawn after this time will still be processed.
And yes … a ‘swoon’ still counts!
Many thanks for your continued interest. Please do not hesitate to contact me, or Mr. Trawler directly, should there be any queries in the meantime.
Yours faithfully
S Simply (Ms.)
