Ok .. perhaps not a debate as such, but a discussion perhaps? What draws us all to this forum .. the JC arena .. ?
Is it boredom? Loneliness? Socialising?
Do we balance the surreal with reality in equal measures, or do we sometimes rely on this hidden little world and hide behind our screens?
I can opine with the best of them (and sometimes the worst) … and I have my favourites. Yet I still retain human decency and consideration, which is sadly often lacking in both the boards section and in the chatroom itself.
Who would care to offer their own motivations for being here? Who would dare to be entirely honest? I spend much of my time online deliberating … but so far, the good far outweighs the bad. Yet, is it replacing an element of my life that I should seek elsewhere?

Christmas stuff is already IN some of them … oh, and Lincoln announced its ‘late night shopping now started, for run up to Christmas’ the other day … may as well just wish you all a happy new year now and get it over with!

Actually …. that was a bit petulant of me. I hurt someone’s feelings through thoughtlessness … they had every right to be upset with me. I hope I have not lost the friendship … but I know I have certainly ‘bruised’ it … if that is possible?

OMG just read this post – all I can tell you is that ‘one’ can say things brashly, but your friends stick by you – all you have to do is pick up the phone and say, what did I do last night/ afternoon etc, and whatever it was, I’m sorry – think you will find that your true friends will stick by you, and probs do the same thing!!
If your personality is like you wear your heart on your shoulder, or whatever the saying is, they like you for what you are, and will forgive anything you say.
