If you have not had a result yet, I may be able to remove the lines for you with adobe photo deluxe if you can send me a reasonably high resolution version of the photo

Assuming inserting it into various bodily orifices didn’t work, on your start menu open computer, right click on the memory stick, then ‘format’. That will completely clear and reset the memory.

If you are using windows XP or Vista, have you tried ‘system restore’?. You will find it in >programs>accessories>system tools
