Welcome Rusty Trawler ! …just read your opening post and particularly liked this bit…
Choose what you want – because whatever you opt for it invariably demonstrates more about you than anything else.
Btw great picture from Rogue there …
(& ‘George’ is your trawler really that rusty? )
Thanks Pepsi

I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist temptation!
awesome post x
Lol. you bugger! No worries. I wouldn’t be able to resist either.
I saw it after i posted this and I also found the edit function, but then my vanity took over. I wasn’t sure if it would highlight any changes after an edit, and I seemed to be getting away with it.
Thanks for you comments.

Best way to avoid the eejits … keep yer box locked! :D
lol nicey. At least I edited the really naughty bits.
I agree with the lock boxed comment. I tend to keep mine locked and only opening for those who i know i will enjoy talking to. However there’s no excuse for people (and it tends to be blokes) deciding to call someone hideous names just because they have declined their overtures.
thanks for commenting.
11 November, 2012 at 6:43 am #515130Nowt wrong with being working class, rubyred. I agree with your statement. And it’s good that you’re rightfully proud of your family and your roots. I could be wrong but i think this very interesting piece was inspired by something i said in my post and I think you may have misinterpreted my intended meaning, so I’ve responded to your comment on my post. If I’m wrong then I apologize in advance.

As a person who has had the pleasure of rustys kindness, depth, humanity and humor in the chatroom I would just like to say that I was touched and moved by his words as I often am. It is a beautiful reminder of how we choose to treat our fellows. Thank you rusty xxxxxxx
Thanks taffers. I love talking to you too.

What a nice change it made :Dthanks for commenting, retake. I’ve had a few lovely conversations too. And I enjoy the humour of the lobby, there are some really funny folk in JC. I guess ‘ASL’ is such a trite way to start a conversation that it’s easy to make assumptions about the intent of the person who uses it as an opening gambit. The main thrust of my argument was, I guess, a little bit more respect, irrespective of anyone’s intention, wouldn’t go amiss.

Seriously (just for a minute) welcome to the boards rusty. :D[/quote
Lol jen jen.
and why do the Working class get the Brunt of your pretend Rhetoric !
Sorry you took offence at my working class comment, rubyred
I know the term doesn’t mean what it used to, but i’m proudly from working class stock myself. I don’t have a chemical toilet and live in a tower block, and my dear mom and dad are not as I described. The initial paragraph was intended as a targeted riposte to some of the statements I often see in the lobby, and as a bit of a working class warrior I tend to find them somewhat irksome.
You may dislike my rhetoric and find it pretty crappy and I wouldn’t really be able to take issue with that – i’m no Abe Lincoln – but can’t agree with you comment that it is ‘pretend’ as it was a valid opinion piece and if you exclude my pathetic Clooney joke, I believe every word of it.
Anyway, thanks for reading it.
