I know, that when alcohol dependency reaches the last stage, an individual would most definitely have liver failure and other organ failure and would be in hospital, having palliative care, to make their last days comfortable, in the last days of their life. Meanwhile, I base my onions on what I have personally witnessed over the past three years and not based on online tittle tattle. *shrug*

Oh dear I could well comment on this but best not.

If I want advice on alcohol dependency, I certainly won’t log in to JC to get it, I’ll ask a professional. There is an old Chinese proverb. “Read the instructions first before you assemble Ikea furniture”.

You were posting on here as if you were an authority on it, all I’ve said is that you are wrong, I could very easily personalise it.

What would adults on an over 40’s forum, who have lived full lives themselves, know about anything. A world where fact and fiction become blurred and repeated enough times until it becomes a reality. *shrug*

I know plenty enough to know you’re wrong

Without personalizing it, which defeats the object. Moon is a functioning alcoholic, she visits family, they visit her, she has her daily routine and speaks about it often when she posts. Putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 educates NOBODY about the curse of alcohol dependency. When you reach the stage described on this board, your body is shutting down, your vital organs are failing and the last f ing thing anyone would think off, is oooo I will log in JC to have a natter. *shrug*

You reckon eh? ………… how little you know

Yep, so if Jamie isnt physically capable of going out and buying it herself, someone else must be getting it for her.

    That’s the one :good:

Alcohol dependency despite the temporary ‘high’, is a depressant and until the user who quite happily drinks themselves into that welcome oblivion, tires of waking up in a pool of their own urine and vomit, never notices fresh buds on a tree and a beautiful sunset, the smile of a pretty lady and the rain on their face, they will continue to drown their sorrows and nothing anybody else says makes a single bit of difference. Alcoholics don’t require someone else to buy their booze, there are thousands of supermarkets and off licences selling it cheaply who will happily take your cash, no questions asked.

Oh but they do when they are no longer physically capable of getting it themselves and if it doesn’t matter, then it’s strange how it’s one of the first questions any health professional dealing with the person asks……. oh and I had a problem with alcohol many years ago and personally I  didn’t wake in my own urine or vomit.

What a load of utter bollox, all I can say is thank God not everyone thinks like you.

Of course it matters if someone is helping her get the alcohol.

This morning I watched a short report on abortion in Northern Ireland, apparently it’s still against the law to have an abortion in just about any circumstances, even for women who have been victims of incest, rape or are carrying a foetus with a fatal foetal abnormality.

The laws making any of these abortions illegal carry the full backing of the DUP, if the people of Nothrrn Ireland want to vote for a party with these beliefs then that is up to them but for the Tories to jump into bed with the DUP it shows what a straw clutching scum bag Theresa May is.  :negative:
