Many thanks for all your nice replies. I’m happy to say that after watching my father slowly fade away for the past couple of years, he has now passed away. My Dad was was not what some would call a hero but he was to me. He worked hard all his life and together with my Mum they provided myself and my Sister with all we needed. It was not nice to see him suffer so much and I can’t understand how someone with so much belief in God had to suffer so much.
Well, now he’s at peace and hopefully watching down on me as I’m not doing too well. Lots of happy times Dad with many regrets on my part.

28 April, 2013 at 12:54 am #519138Hoots Wilma…not many of the decent folks post nowadays sadly. Well, Betty’s funeral was last Thursday. To say it was a grand day out might seem wrong, but it was. Many more people turned up than were expected. I was in two minds if I would be able to go through the religious side of things, but I put my beliefs aside to be there for Betty’s daughter. I felt very proud that one of my Poems was read out during the service, but had to struggle to hold back some tears when it was read out. After the service we all went for a meal and it was nice to listen to the conversations of those that had known Betty many years before I met her. Several of them mentioned her coming to do their gardens, planting borders etc while in her seventies…..She loved her gardening. It was nice that the two young carers who looked after her in the final years were there, they shared their thoughts with me, asked me how Betty’s daughter had been since her passing and both had some happy tales to tell about how Betty was still herself and knew her own mind. Life goes on Wilma and I hope all is well with you and those you love, take care and keep safe.

Sadly Poli this type of offence is occuring a lot more these days. If it’s true from what the other posters have said that you are pro fox hunting, then it really doesn’t put you in the best position to comment on such issues. Anyway. I do understand the point you made…kind of
24 April, 2012 at 3:24 am #494102I listened about the very uncaring person ( GRRR…..18 Months…!!! ) ) on the car radio on the way to visit freinds in Nottm yesterday. I watched the first 15 mins of the prog, but that was enough. More legal action , I hope, will follow those shown in the part of the prog I watched and others. It really is, well it was, beyond belief these incidents. Now it seems to becoming everyday news
