I must have been taking that non alcoholism curing acid. I knew dealers couldn’t be trusted. In fact, I’m sure I’ve seen something similar in TJ Hooker. Although, that said, getting pissed while tripping has never struck me as the thing to do. I think the acid would cut through the drukenness and then you’d get a hangover after everything was…[Read more]

Oh no. Now everyone thinks that I watch telly every Saturday night. My life is ruined.
Didn’t he do well?

No, Gaz, you’re getting confused. Good Old Fashioned Loving Deviants was Queen. Elton John was Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting.

I think I’m arguing for an expanded Church of England, The Temple Of Britain, that admits and nourishes any spiritually minded entrant willing to be the subject of a Just Temporal Majesty. Their councils would elect members to the House of Lords.

As the devil’s advocate, religion’s ridiculous, isn’t it? Why would you respect that sort of obvious nonsense or those that believe it? Why do these loons deserve special respect? Surely, we’d be better off with the rule that people can believe in what they want but that nobody has the right not to expect the piss ripped out of their madcap ideas.

It all makes me want to smoke some DMT. Not the punk, though. Punk makes me uncomfortable and agitated. A very worthy artistic achievement, I’m sure, but easily accomplished, when in the mood, by having some staff scrape their nails on a blackboard and torture a badger.
I’m the abominal bambino of Thompson and Clarkson and I’m here all week.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our mind. As a wise chap with a holy spliff tin once said. If you’re seeing cages everywhere, it may be that they are of your own construction.
Don’t you dare to deny the Power of Bob or I’ll be forced to issue the first Rastafarian Fatwah.

They didn’t just fight in wars to protect their freedoms and democracy, they fought to gain their freedom and democracy. A tradition that stretches all the way back through the Tolpuddle Martyrs to Jack Cade and Wat Tyler.
What exactly do you consider to be the natural birth rights that are denied to you?

That democracy that you dismiss has been fought for by long generations of These Islands. Are you saying their sacrifices have been in vain?

How would a society function if people were able to opt out? Are you convinced that there are no bad eggs amongst us?

Brucie’s been a fixture of Saturday night telly for decades. I’d say, if anyone deserved a gong from the world of entertainment there’s no better candidate.

No. The state, the agreed apparatus of society, carries with it a monopoly of might. Theoretically, I can use it to stop much more powerful entities hassling me. If everyone was perfectly free, I’d be on my own. The law curbs freedom but, paradoxically, protects it with the same stroke.
As you so gallantly agree to be examined, as it were, do you…[Read more]

I wonder if Mr Gazlan is prepared to have his views examined in the way he seems to think it is reasonable to examine other people’s beliefs. I’m prepared to be David Frost.

Brucie should get one, though. I genuinely don’t understand why he hasn’t already. Did he make a joke about Queenie in his youth or something?

Blimey, Mr Gazlan, have you run out of reefer? You seem like the proverbial bull in a china shop just recently. You appear to believe that someone has put you in charge.
To get back to your main points, the law is the law. For obvious reasons already alluded to, you can’t have some people allowed to just opt out. It’s not fair. You may be a…[Read more]

Indeed. You were bred for humanity and sold to society. The only way you can withdraw from the contract is to move abroad and thus place yourself under a different jurisdiction.
This is reasonably sensible, though. Otherwise you could declare yourself independent and go around bothering people and being a generally bad egg all the time. Further,…[Read more]
