Like Rosepetal, I couldn’t go through it again so I wouldn’t get another dog. I had a black and white lab/spaniel for 16 years and up until the age of 15 she was still fit and healthy, running around the park and going for walks. Towards the end though, she was really struggling and had very little if any quality of life. Actually – hellish as this will sound – she was so bad that I actually hoped she would die in her sleep so I wouldn’t have to take her to the vets.
Wasn’t to be so had to take her, she was struggling to stand let alone walk. Even when she lay down she’d whine. The kindest thing would have been to take her sooner than I did but I didn’t even want to entertain the idea.
jesus christ jon im welling up here.
Ive been through the same with pets of mine. Its the worst thing ever.
Ive had more animals since though as I’d like to think I make a difference to their lives. My 2 cats were rescued kittens and probably would’nt of had much of a life until I took them home.
17 October, 2008 at 10:24 pm #382150I have 2 cats – twins really, from the same litter. 3 years old now.
I also have 3 other cats who visit me daily, i’d like to think they like my company, but im sure they just like the free food.
Oh, and I also have Fraggle, my little fox who visits me when he feels like it. He always makes me feel sad though cos he scratches a lot, the poor thing. Ive got some pics somewhere, if i can find upload them. He likes to sleep on my shed – in broad daylight! hes not shy you see :)
I’d love a dog, ive always wanted a dalmation..Ive even thought of the name.. Dotty..but i think my cats would object :?

Couldnt agree more.
17 October, 2008 at 9:58 pm #383283If she is guilty of making the entire thing up, she shouldnt just get charged with wasting police time at all. His career is now in ruins, as is his reputation. People always think there is no smoke without fire, and he will now always be known as the guy involved in a rape trial, just like John Leslie.
She should be sentenced to prison. I read somewhere that he would be facing LIFE had he been found guilty..yet she was prepared to stand there in court and tell a bare faced lie and didnt care what happened to him. I hope she gets severely punished.
17 October, 2008 at 9:47 pm #383303ah ha! So..the question is, whos been squealing to PB in pm? Bloody spoil sports. Its only a bit of harmless banter. Take that away and the place becomes a morgue.
…the thing is, something doesnt add up…how come sword is being so nice lately as well?? :-k
17 October, 2008 at 9:12 pm #383211and wtf has happened to rosie? is it something to do with him?? (i dont read the tv mags)
17 October, 2008 at 9:08 pm #382607Bon Bon, have you thought about getting a cat? If you fit a cat flap they can come and go during the day while youre at work, so that wont be a problem.
