I think I may need to seek medical advice, because I really don’t remember asking for my own thread, or betting you couldn’t do a thread about me! I only recall asking for my own JC room!
To answer your question, I guess you could say my decision back then was due to a woman – but then again, she was also the reason I was still around in the first place. You see, we were young (ok, middle-aged) and very much in love, but could only communicate through a time-travelling mailbox at my lakehouse… or via JC pm’s.
Ok, the real reason I left was boredom. Any chat gets very ‘samey’ after a while – and particularly so when you’re a cat. Ironically, boredom is also the reason I started chatting in the first place and the reason I came back. I seem to spend half my life watching progress bars on computer screens.. waiting.. waiting.. waiting. So I read the paper. I kill some zombies with my plant army. I take pictures of the contents of my.. erm.. least organised outbuildings, then use them like those ‘hidden object’ PC games. I take out a massive pile of laptop parts with the intention of trying to cobble together a working laptop that I can flog on Ebay as ‘customised’ – then decide I can’t be bothered and go to JC instead. So there ya have it.
By the way.. I particularly enjoyed the “stop being sarcastic Trap” comment, followed closely as it was by “we are waiting for the great one to speak”. I’m proud of ya!

Well.. to be honest Trapper, me too – but I didn’t wanna ask for one, cos ‘chat house’ sounds a lot like ‘cathouse’ and that could attract the kind of people I really wouldn’t want frequenting my place (i.e. blokes).

I find it hard to believe there’s an alternative to the stuff that tastes pretty much like the box it came in – but, as always, I’m open to new experiences. If there’s a better option than Catbury Chocolate, I’m all for giving it a go.

Well, see, I’m currently in the process of trying to remove as many fingers (claws?) from as many pies as I can, cos the older I get, the less I wanna do. I know I could pretty much ‘set it and forget it’ – but that’s no way to run a site now is it….

Wow Gemma.. we have sooo much in common! I love chasing bubbles too!! But.. erm… why do they have to be chilled? Does it make them slower.. easier to catch? We could go the whole hog and just freeze them. It would mean the bubble machine would become more of a.. well.. cannon really – but that could be fun too if we aim it at the other rooms!

Amelia.. I don’t know what to say, other than I’m touched (but then we were always similar in so many ways).
It brought a tear to my eye. The other eye was much less emotional (I read with my left eye, whilst the right is reserved for checkin’ out the ladies. Course the left joins in whenever I see a particularly nice one, much to the chagrin of the right – which wants them all to itself).
I disagree that ‘Poetry isn’t your forté’. I think yours ranks right up there with a Spike Milligan limerick that went something like..
There was a young man from Tralee
Who was stung on the neck by a wasp
When asked if it hurt
He replied, “Not at all
It can do it again if it likes”As for my well-being, well I’m just suffering several of the numerous side-effects (none of which are reported to result in headlessness I’m happy to say) of medication I’ve had to start taking again. I should be fine in a week or so, but in the meantime, all offers of sympathy, extra strokes and yes, even poems, will be gratefully accepted.
