You have’nt broke it, mobile networks handle 1000’s of identical problems every day. Its something that can happen to any cellphone
This kind of problem is quite common and usually happens when the phone is used for a period of time within the coverage area of a cell site without being switched off as the phone needs to refresh its registration on the network else the network starts to get confused if the phone is really switched on. :D
