I looked up the figures for UK contribution to the EU and according to the BBC in 2005 “Britain paid 9.97bn euros into the EU budget but received 6.22bn euros in return, so it made a net contribution of about 3.8bn euros.”

The electoral standards commission calls the BNP a nazi organisation. Just because they have tried to change their image it doesn’t make their core beliefs any different. They hate Jews, they hate non-whites, they hate liberals, they hate our free society. They pose a bigger threat to our way of life than the terrorists do because they are actively trying to destroy this country’s values.

In a nutshell, the BNP manifesto can be summed up as “auslander raus”.

He didn’t just say “Islam is a wicked and evil faith” he was talking about how muslims pose a threat to white women men and children. He was stirring up hatred towards muslims and suggesting that people should take care of them before a muslim harms somebody within their families. He was caught on tape doing this and he admitted during the speech that he could get 7 years in prison for doing it. On reflection, it looks like he got off on a technicality because while the law protects Jews as a race it doesn’t protect muslims. When Griffin made the same sort of hate-ridden comments about Jews he was convicted. So it looks like as long as the BNP talk about muslims without mentioning a race they can get away with incitement. Make no mistake, it was most definitely incitement at that BNP meeting.

This is why the law against inciting religious hatred should have been passed because clearly there is no protection against the majority of religious groups and in particular muslims. This was never an issue of free speech, Griffin wasn’t interested in having a theological discussion like the Pope was, the intention of Griffin was to incite hatred and he got away with it because of a legal technicality and maybe the naivety of the jury.

There was a muslim cleric who was convicted for selling tapes that contained incitement towards Jews and Christians. I see no difference in principle between that case and the Griffin case. Both were preaching to the converted. Another muslim was convicted yesterday for his protests about the Danish cartoons. I don’t remember anybody here complaining about freedom of speech then.

The BNP is an evil, subversive, neo-nazi organisation whose primary objective is to create dischord and division within the country. Griffin’s credentials are nazi through and through. He has even attended neo-nazi rallies in Germany where he met the former head of the Ku Klux Klan and associated with people who had links to the nazi regime of the ’30s and’40s.

“Whatever our toil, whatever our struggle, we will fight on like comrades and brothers until every last vestige of the nazi regime has been beaten into the ground. Until the memory only of it remains as a warning for future generations”…….Winston Churchill

Emma I checked and yet again you are talking crap. If you actually believed the Sun was the world’s best selling newspaper then it goes to show you’ll believe any old sh1t. According to a chart published by the world association of newspapers in 2005, the world’s best selling newspaper is the Yomiuri Shimbun with a daily circulation of over 14 million. The Sun is only 11th on their list. As usual Emma, your “facts” are worthless.

Emma, they have the idiots on tape and the only way they can get away with it is if the jury is made up of Sun/Daily Mail readers or the vocal element of Sky News viewers.

I haven’t read the BNP manifesto but I’ve watched Triumph of the Will which is more or less the same thing. Emma, it must be an unpleasant time for you BNP types seeing as it’s almost Remembrance Sunday. Do all you neo-nazi types meet to remember all your fallen nazi idols.

You’re really clutching at straws now Drivel. If you look at when I made my first post on this topic it was the 5th of October. I didn’t look up the torture issue on HRW until I heard about their report about Britain’s torture policy on the news. The report was only published on the 2nd of November. You can also see that when I did quote from the HRW website I actually said so and put the quotations within quotation marks. Obviously, this was too difficult for you to understand.

This thread relates to America’s use of torture which you fully support. If you give the government the green light to torture terrorism suspects they will do it, not only in time critical situations but as a matter of routine. They will also torture the wrong people as has already been proven and the use of torture will lose the battle of hearts and minds in particular when mistakes are made. You should also take into account that the use of torture is unconstitutional in america and violates the convention against torture. So you can’t give them the right to torture suspects.

We would have lost those industries anyway. That’s why what’s left of the steel industry in the UK is mostly focused on specialist products. If countries can import coal, steel or other resources at a cheaper price than the UK offers then it’s inevitable that British industries will go into decline. That’s the nature of global competition. That’s also why Western farmers receive government subsidies because they can’t compete with foreign farmers.

Emma, in all honesty, using “Talksport” as the basis of your argument is pretty lame even by your standards. What sh1tty tabloid does that Jon Gaunt work for then? The reason why I doubt he works for the world’s best selling newspaper is because the USA has a population of 300 million, India has a population of 1 billion, China has something like 1.5 billion and the UK has around 60 million. So I think he’s talking crap.

The reason why we shouldn’t execute people is because the courts make mistakes. Think of the number of innocent people who have been convicted of murder and then subsequently released following a successful appeal. It shows that the court system can’t be relied upon to get it right every single time. You can’t correct your mistake if you execute an innocent man/woman.

If you’re opposed to paying for the upkeep of criminals then I presume you’ll be advocating the execution of nick griffin and mark collett once they are convicted. What good have they done for society? Griffin already has a criminal record. Looks like he’s aiming to become one of those career criminals. The bill for the upkeep of prisoners would probably be a lot lower if all your friends in the BNP stopped their criminality.

On the subject of paying taxes, why do your BNP councillors dodge their council tax? Is there no end to their fraudulent and criminal behaviour?

So the source of your 68% is an unknown radio presenter on some sports radio station. If you think he works for the world’s best selling newspaper you’re probably wrong considering the population of the UK. It just shows how wrong your statistics are.

Most of our exports go to Europe, we benefit from EU legislation such as the minimum wage and maximum working time directive, it’s easy for UK citizens to work, travel and study within Europe, certain UK projects can get EU funding, footballers from the EU don’t need to go through lengthy applications for work permits and of course the UK benefits from collective political strength by being part of the EU. For example, when the USA put illegal tariffs on imports of foreign steel, the EU nations collectively stood up to America and forced it to back down.

It would be interesting and not to mention historic if the Clintons returned to the Whitehouse. I think Hillary would have a good chance of winning if she ran alongside Wesley Clark because it would sway some Republicans who think Democrats are soft on the security issue. Obama would make a good running-mate too because he has charisma and is popular.

He was plotting to use radioactive bombs to spread terror on both sides of the Atlantic. 40 years is a very fair sentence and it’s judges who pass sentences not politicians.
