I take it that’s a no then? Funny, it sounded like you were convinced that vasts amounts of police funds were being spent on interpreters for asylum seekers. Are you now saying that you didn’t actually know what you were talking about? Could it possibly be that your far-right propaganda doesn’t stand up to the least bit of scrutiny?
What if an asylum seeker or refugee who spoke little English had information relating to a crime, would you tell them to come back when their standard of English is better? The irony of course Emma is that there are plenty of asylum seekers and refugees who speak better English than you.

Don’t you think it would help if you actually read the stuff on the pages that you provide a link for? It says:
“Interpreters are used in a variety of crucial roles, ranging from an interview with a foreign driver involved in a road collision to interpreting documents used in major investigations of serious crime.”
Since the article you provided a link to doesn’t talk exclusively of asylum seekers but also all other aspects in which interpreter services are used by the police it undermines your case that using interpreters is a waste of tax-payers money. Can you actually give us a figure for how much money is spent by the police on interpreters for asylum seekers? I’m just wondering how you can say it’s a waste of money if you don’t actually know how much the bill is. So tell us exactly how much money any of the UK police forces spends on interpreter services for asylum seekers and refugees SPECIFICALLY.
WTF does asylum have to do with a tourist getting robbed in Leicester Sq. What kind of imbecile are you? Do you think translators and interpreters exist only to work with asylum seekers? One way in which they are used is to assist the police with people who don’t speak English. People with specialist skills who do a specialist job earn more money than the average person. Asylum or no asylum they would still charge the same fee for their services. Do you think they charge more for interpreting the words of asylum seekers than they do for interpreting the words of, let’s say, a foreign nun who got knocked down in a hit and run?
As for Geoff’s comment that people should be fluent in a language before they travel to a country. How many British tourists could deal with foreign police without an interpreter? How many languages do you speak Geoff? If you can only speak English then I assume you have never left the UK seeing as you’re so opposed to people travelling to foreign countries without learning the language.

Interpreters can earn a lot of money because they have specialist skills. Demand and supply, if you don’t like it move to a communist country. Secondly, only an idiot couldn’t understand that sometimes the police will need to question people who don’t speak English. Let’s say a Croatian tourist who barely speaks any English gets robbed in Leicester Sq. What are the police supposed to do in that situation if they can’t communicate with the victim?
You might say that giving the police help to do their job is a waste of tax-payers money but I’m sure most of the people in this country would disagree with you. Most people think the police should have more funds especially to make the streets safer (from the sort of violent thugs you idolize). It’s no surprise though that you think policing is a waste of tax-payers money, I mean a lot of your BNP friends are violent ex-cons, fraudsters or are involved in other forms of criminality (in addition to their subversive political activities).
There are a lot of immigrants who are actually over-qualified for the jobs they end up doing.
To say there are few qualified doctors in Africa is just sheer nonsense. It’s resources that are lacking more than qualified medical staff and that all goes back to economics and politics.
So you’re saying police shouldn’t use interpreters. Maybe the police could telepathically translate foreign languages. If the police need to interview a tourist involved in an incident who doesn’t speak English, what are they supposed to do? Or what about a foreign lorry driver? To say that spending money on interpreters is a waste of money just proves how stupid you are. There are far worse cases of public money being flittered away e.g. in the realms of overseas arms exports and defaulted payments by foreign governments.

You said a lot of asian muslims in parts of Yorkshire are involved in rape and prostitution. Well I decided to look up the facts and they’re a lot different from what you’re saying:

11 arrests of white and asian teens/young men. Those are the facts. So how can you possibly say that white people are in danger from Asians and that a lot of asian muslims are involved in raping and pimping white girls? That’s why I accused you of inciting racial hatred.
