Photoshop just seems to use so much RAM and it’s slow when you select tools for it to run, it either slows down or freezes. It takes forever to do anything. Now, I’m only really just warming to the delights of Photoshop [actually I think it’s fab !], but I can only use it if I am offline with no other applications running.

At least it’s not just me BB [for a change !] :D

You lost me at XP sweetie………….lol………..no okay, I understand really !

Well I have disabled a couple of things, like my Nokia suite and O2 programme I downloaded for my mobile. I have McAfee, AVG, 12Ghosts pop up blocker running.

Last week Photoshop froze up and the programme closed. Windows reset itself minus a couple of background processes and it worked okay and I had a lot more ram free.

It’s just that normally I have a couple of applications running [as I use this laptop for work sometimes as well].

    How do I enable UDMA66 transfer ???

I think, from reading these posts that I haven’t got anything “abnormal” running [me ?? normal ?? never !] but I would like to disable some processes if I can.

I know, I’m a woman, I want it all [and I want to be able to juggle those balls of yours in the air………]

I might disable some of them, like I said, Photoshop uses a lot and it gets painfully slow……………not that there’s anything wrong with pain……..

    Okay Bertyboy, I’ll pretend I didn’t notice I was off your list……………

Don’t need the vodka to numb the pain, the morphine is working well at the mo……………

Show us your wrist strengthening technique DirtyBerty

Thanks BB I’ll have a look.

I have 44 processes running, my pc just seems to use a lot of RAM. When I then use Photoshop [which uses stacks of RAM], then everything starts running in slow motion………….

Morty Hotmail blocks the malicious content and deletes it. It does’nt even give you the ‘we warned you are you still willing to download’ Option because it is blocked before it even gets to the Servers.

    Okay SuperA. Thanks.

Perhaps it could have been a fake or something. People just panic when they see the word “virus”

Okay, well I have only ever had one trojan on my PC that AVG quarantined so I’m not “all that” with what Hotmail does when it finds a virus.

Does Hotmail quarantine the virus as soon as the e-mail has been received in the in-box ??? If you open the e-mail, does Hotmail state that it’s found a virus ???

Okay, bear with me here people…………..

But, could it just be that Rainny opened an e-mail that had the virus but Hotmail had quarantined it and a message came up telling her that ??

    It’s just a thought eh ???

I’m still going back to this. Any thoughts on this ???
