Well, interesting responses and some rather ‘ironic’ ones.
I agree with most, it’s up to the individual, when and how they choose to ‘trust’ someone, however the original post wasn’t so much about ”when do we trust people”, but just being careful and not carried away with the flow of a conversation in the Main Room, revealing too much info to lurkers you don’t trust or even know ! It’s very easy to get carried away, just remember there are some real weirdo’s watching……

In short, he’s a nice guy who is given and accepts total power and uses it for the good of his pack, nothing else.
Oo. Like (nearly) every child’s conception of their dad. Or like the 50s nuclear family, so beloved in American tv sitcoms even today. But kids grow up and realise that their parents are just human. A terrible realisation, for which the parents are never fully forgiven. A nice guy given total power? Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, as Acton said. Hitler and Churchill were alpha males in their very different ways. Neither had absolute power (whatever the claims were made in Germany). Neither were that nice, but is anybody who is given absolute power very nice? A lot of illusions about alpha males among people here – in my humble opinion. never, never give absolute power to anybody, and particularly not an alpha-male.
