And just for the record I never requested the thread to be locked nor did I complain to Admin.
lol kenty admin are a law unto themselves in this day and age of law suits i spect the racist card having been thrown they would have locked it on that basis , i dunno ay what a palarvaaaaaa lol hugssssssss xxxxxx
For the record I asked for it to be addressed. I found the childish sniping and racist comments that were flying back and forth an absolute disgust, as one of the younger members of this forum I thought most of you should have known better. And while we are being honest, I actually don’t like the sound of a Birmingham accent, but that is my preference, eventhough I dated someone from Redditch who had the twang of that area it didn’t fall in love with it. I am sure many people will not like my accent but that is their preference. That whole thread got totally out of hand. Shameful.
I agree. I was away last week and came back yesterday to read the whole sorry mess.
11 November, 2010 at 11:19 pm #454097I can’t possibly agree with that.

11 November, 2010 at 12:39 pm #453959I agree completely with your last post, Gaz.
Has to be same rules for all. It’s perfectly possible to search and be sensitive. Airports should have facilities so that women who choose to wear burkahs can be fully identified, and searched if necessary.
After all, white girls can now wear trousers to school primarily because other ethnic groups did not want to wear skirts, so that they could preserve their culture norm of modesty. Everyone can wear trousers as a result. Nothing wrong with that. On the other hand a school close to me only allows you to wear your hair braided or in dreads if you are black. That kind of stupidity is what ends up getting quoted as an example of “what’s going wrong with this country” and how “immigrants are taking over”. Apart from the crime against fashion involved, I’m sure none of the parents of the black kids at the school were campaigning to stop white kids wearing dreads!
Surely it’s all about sensitivity to people’s cultures, not fear of them. There have been a number of child protection cases where investigations were not thorough enough because social services did not want to offend the families. That can’t be acceptable.
Diverse society. One law. Everyone who is legally resident in the UK, whatever their origin, has the right to try to change it but the duty to uphold it.

I’m here, didn’tcha know?!! lolol
Nowt wrong to emmigrate to ‘other people’s countries’, it doesn’t upset the locals btw, brings em money, specially in the bars/restaurants etc etc Anyway, the locals here all work on the marché noir! :D Also we pay their taxes afterall!!!
My point exactly in a funny way. We all do it and there’s nothing wrong with it.

Hey Ruby, understand where you are coming from and I know it’s a bit of fun, but I have to say that, as a Celt I really don’t want to take over anything.
Did we learn nothing from Northern Ireland? When I grew up in Glasgow, was it all better when Rangers and Celtic would only signed Protestants or Catholics, and you didn’t dare tell people on the train what school you went to? Thank God we have moved on.
Worried about Islam – no.
Worried about all the misunderstanding and mistrust that results in perfectly well off kids stepping out of their own communities to go and train as terrorists in the supposed name of Islam, against the will of their pacifist, Islamic parents – yes.
White people make pretty good terrorists too from my memory. They also get all round the world and settle in “other people’s countries”, making money and upsetting the locals. The Scots are famous for emigration, including members of my family.
Not just Islam then – the people to fear in Ireland, Bosnia (and Rangers/Celtic matches many years ago) called themselves Christians.
