I’ll agree, the election process in America is ridiculously protracted and unnecessarily long. I think they should put a 6 month limit on campaigning; in this day and age with the media technology we have, if someone can’t make their case in 6 months they don’t deserve to be running the country.
I’m an Obama supporter, but mainly because I don’t…[Read more]

Well in America we tend to have this perception that art causes bad behavior, especially in impressionable young people; as if teenagers didn’t care about sex before Elvis came along, or that the teen gang phenomenon can be traced DIRECTLY back to Tom and Jerry beating on each other in cartoons. The plain and simple truth is we Americans cling to…[Read more]

Sure I thought it was hilarious. I liked that it poked fun at intellectualism, while also being genuinely funny and smart. Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce play brothers PERFECTLY, they really worked very well together. But all things considered I preferred Cheers; more variety of characters.

It IS a tragic tale, and that woman is a Grade A nutjob for sure. But I have to be honest, after reading the whole article, the thing that REALLY resonated with me was that the judge’s name is Les Spittle.

Well these are new song lyrics. Don’t have a recording of the song yet though. It’s sort of a lullaby for a child I don’t have yet… but I’m working on it.
“Paper Crane”
Make a poem of your life,
Scrawl it on a page,
Fold it like a paper crane,
And let it fly away.I will fetch it down for you,
Fix it to a tune,
Maybe add a line or two,
And…[Read more] -

Pink Floyd “Time”
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the wayTired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill…[Read more] -

I’d say my overall favorite book is “Wonder Boys” by Michael Chabon. GREAT book. They made a really good movie out of it too; the film-makers captured the feel of the book pretty much perfectly.
Anyway the book has real style, and the story is fantastic too. I’ve read it 4 times and I can’t wait until the next time.

December 8, 1980 in NYC; I’d push Mark David Chapman’s gun a couple inches to the left, so he’d get Yoko instead.

Yeah, I have lots of songs with lyrics, but for this particular band it’s just instrumental.

As my name implies I’m from Boston, Massachusetts. I honeymooned in London last summer, and I was actually surprised by how thin and relatively fit-looking the average Londoner was. Compared to Boston you folks seem pretty trim on average. But it gets MUCH colder here. Most of us put on 10lbs every winter for the extra warmth, lol.

Gotta say it’s nice to be on a board with at least a few females. I’m married, so I’ll try to keep the flirtation to a bare minimum. But most of the forums I visit are guitar-oriented, and it’s like the locker-room back in high school. Mostly it’s young boys tryin’ to act all tough, lol. It gets plenty tiresome after awhile.
