It disturbed me too Becky.. but, the more I read I realised there was so much more to situations like this and they should be based on their own merit.

Which is what I did initially, although, I still do worry about the kind of precedent it sets. I am thinking too… as you are, if in the future, surgery benefits someone other than the person it is performed on without their consent… is it right or wrong?

Many people feel the same way fergie..I agree with a lot of what you say..I particulary liked what you said regarding the sun.
Most free thinking people, it seems, choose not to follow an organised religion, then I think is non belief as much a faith as believing? Or would it be called hope?
However, I do recognise the importance of religion to those that have been indoctrinated into it and try to learn as much as I can…. and hopefully through knowledge I have will have more understanding or maybe I won’t lol… either way I have a long way to go!

I have quoted the Qur’an, but I do realise it is open to interpretation and one has to update these things and not take one human being literally.
We do our best to understand, but a dialogue would help us more…we are not ignorant peasants that do what we are told, we have original thoughts and would like an overview, enabling us to understand your way thinking.
