This is my first post and I hope its worth it So… here what u want to do is minimise the return time with the fastest people u take mister q and linda over which takes them 2 minutes and mister q returns the torch all taking just 3 minutes. misert Q then gives the torch to Ge and drac to get over all in 10 minutes. now the torch is then given to linda who returns back to pick up mister Q. this takes her just 2 minutes. Mister Q and Linda then proceed to cross resulting in 2 more minutes

Well as no one has got it and you have the answer in a quiz book, its a hollow victory. I don’t know what the answer is and neither would you if the answer wasn’t printed.. maybe someone will answer.

When you mentioned chores to do that made me smile, we sometimes play a game of switch to see who is going to lose and do the dishes :) Even then you need to be careful as different people have different rules, like with some black 5 means pick up 5, red 5 cancels it, 7 you can play entire suit, some not, so many different rules in so many different parts of the world :)
Chess is just fun for me now, when I take a break from things I enjoy a game, even different variations of it like 3 check where first person to get 3 checks wins, or fast 1 minute games, it mixes it up…

50 points is massive, are you sure you two are not thinking about the 50 point bonus you get for getting all tiles out in one go?
King_Strongbow May have to look this up. Have been playing this game since 10 years old faithfully. I do recall earlier on 50 points was challenge. And you may be right now, lose turn, something of such. Rules change? Will research, now make me curious. But remember never wanted to challenge as did not want to give up 50 points. Hee hee, especially with my brother who used bets for loss. Usually giving me his chores for a week…. I too play scrabble every day. Challenge computer, advance level. May not win every time. Last week 348.. and I usually play against a random player on devices. Not on Facebook or anything else..
So true MisterQ, how can you improve if you play only people weaker, I did the same thing with chess, when I first started learning I was a 500 or so player, I would only seek games with people above my own rating even though I would lose mostly, that was about 20 years ago, now I am a 2200 player and still do the same thing today. My dad did the same with me when a kid, he would never “just let me win”, at anything, I had to earn it, whether that was a board game, or even a game of tennis.
Thing is about any thing King…i learnt a lot off my older brother….he was always better at every thing than me. Thing is…..i always appreciated the fact that if you always do things with some one who is better at it than you, you will always learn more in the long term rather than short term rewards.

Me too, usually if I have been it’s because there has been negativity around and I have had a drink so it brings out the worse in me, which is wrong, but in general I try to be good and forgive others who do the same. Nothing you can do anyway, no turning back time, move on and enjoy :)
I can be rude, i can be insulting, i can say a lot of things i don’t really mean at times and some times i wish i could turn back time and never have said some things but hey! We’re all where we are today…make it count….

Probably not that high :) I am quite strong against friends on Facebook but then when I play others who are really good I have zero chance…
I used to play a game on Yahoo Messenger called Literati, it was brilliant and a little similar to Scrabble, don’t think any of that stuff works any more unfortunately…
What’s the highest score you’ve ever scored at Scrabble…or any one?
