i’ve always been kentlass19 or kenty around here…although i did have to register as morbid angel one evening when i got banned but that was years back and i’ve been a good girl since

well i ain’t had any kids yet but i have mine picked out already

if we have a girl it’s going to be lily-ann(i’ll kill anyone that shortens it to just lily  )

for a boy it’s samuel james…i’m really not certain on the name but sam insists on it as it’s a tradition and i can’t really say no. still, i think in a few years time i may regret agreeing. even if we changed it so it had a middle name of my choice i think i’ll be happier

(only 5weeks til i know which it is!!)

i’m having to go down south again next week, will be gone for a week or more, sam is looking after the dog so i’m guessing i’ll be back on here saying he’s destroyed stuff while i’m away :?

guess sam will just have to get up at 6am to take him to the field

don’t know if anyone is still interested but since i posted this thread i’ve taken a couple of people’s advice and have taken him daily to the park, allowed him off his lead to run and played with him lots(he’s had to go back on lead within close proximity to other dogs but comes off again when they go) anyways he’s been so knackered out that he’ll crash out on the floor on the walk home

so since this i’ve had to leave him as usual but with no muzzle and only for a couple of hours while i go to town(when i said while we work i forgot to mention i don’t have a job at the moment so he’s only on his own max 3hours unless i’m off on a visit down south which is rare!)

anyways…having come home after leaving him…he’s done absolutely nothing to the house for the last 3days!!! it’s absolute heaven to come home and not find the place destroyed.

i’m hoping that he’ll keep up with the good behaviour as long as i keep spending the time allowing him to run and play(we play catch, have even bought him loads of new toys) he’s also recieving treats when we get home and he’s been good so i really hope it encourages him!!

    she ok? :?:

you should know by now pats that i’m always ok

i just didn’t want to bring on more personal attacks when i got enough sh*t trying to sort my problem out.

i really am grateful for the advice given

wow! thanks for the replies guys.

shaz and pats…thanks for posting this on your forums!

i seem to come across as a bad guy  he’s only left for as long as we need to go out and work, which is generally 8am til 5pmish

the muzzle thing isn’t because of his howling, it’s a prevention method to control his unnecessary barking when we’re out…the landlord has threathened to evict us if he isn’t quietened down(he can still breathe and drink…and apparently chew things!…with it on.

as for the person that said maybe he misses his previous owner…my statement about him being my parents was a little misleading…while he was technically my mothers i lived at home and basically fed and had responsibility for him so no way he misses that old cow!

should i also have mention that we rescued him from someone that would tie and beat him???

got him one before…got home from nipping to the shops for 15minutes and he’d dragged it out of the cupboard and chewed it up

Gawd!! it sounds like he needs to go to a dog training school, But I will say, mine
has to have a “run “over the field everyday.. If I just walk her its not enough, once
she`s had that run, she quiet happy pottering around the rest of the day.

he can’t be trusted off the lead to run unfortunately, he attacks other dogs and barks/growls at children…if i try to run him on a lead he’ll yank me over :(

would you mind if I cut and paste your problem to some other people? I know a few dog behaviourists on another forum who will be able to advise you.

no, that’d be fine. thanks…i could really use all the help i can get as i really don’t want to have to put him in a rescue center(no-one else i know will take him)

thanks for them pete! hopefully it’ll have something useful
