finished watching ‘Designated Survivor’. starts with bang ..goes a bit slow at places but overall was addictive with lots of twists and turns in story line. decent acting for most part too.
like passports they need updating and all government things cost a plenty! profits for private companies and tax income stream for civil servants and governments.
lot of issues and many always Blame government of the day . in some cases they are correct too. not yet looking at conspiracy theory of deliberate fuel and food shortages to get immigration rules voided so big corporations etc can. again get low paid skilled workers and thus derive higher profits and of course huge bonuses . aware some council workers do take advantage and was aware one in particular used to deliberately do work slowly in week in order to get overtime!
standard practise of increasing population growth to drive growth in economy is having hiccups in EU . native birth rates dropping including UK’s. hence government and business worried .citing lack of workers and demand to pay pensions and keep modern pyramid system of economics working as it is and they need. no worries (yet) of food rationing though energy issues are rising fast. soem older homes without double ‘leaf’ walls can even suffer badly if interior insulation is fitted to outer walls. creating problems . all properties that allow moisture or water to penetrate or form on walls etc will create issues. hence reason lofts are never sealed but insulated allowing a free flow of air . check near edge of loft and u will find they do not cover right up to edges as that stops draughts ( airflow) that remove moisture etc. it always costs far more to put things right. neighbour bought property and had mould in bedroom form behind headboard . turns out previous owner had had a chimney vent blocked . an air vent was added to allow air flow and mould problems evaporated :)
