I had the 60GB version (well, I still do) no problems at all for about a year or so then all of a sudden I get a corrupt file that wouldn’t sort itself out. Couldn’t do anything with it either as it just kept trying to repair this file everytime I switched it on. Phoned them on Tuesday, went through all the ‘take it out and put it back in again’ which is no different to ‘switch it off and switch it back on again’ and got a replacement delivered today.
Problem is, I’ve lost all my saved data as it was on the hard drive and that’s a lot of GTA as well as Godfather: Don’s Edition (which I had completed so that’s not such a big loss) and a couple of others I had completed or near enough anyway. One of the downsides of the PS3, no memory card so when it’s gone it’s gone. And that’s kinda putting me off starting over again if I’m honest. These things are rare but when they happen, you tend to think a bit differently.
In terms of graphics & sound then it’s fantastic, obviously some games are better than others, and I love the wireless controller – much more freedom. Wouldn’t reccomend the motion sensor option, where you can control a vehichle for example by moving the controller instead of using the buttons but I can’t do it. Games are pricey but there’s some good sites online.

23 July, 2008 at 5:43 pm #355844A friend’s daughter had a fit once, don’t know all the details cos frankly I don’t care enough to ask but to cut a long story short, she mentioned a woman who appeared at the bottom of her bed at one point.
She told her mum what this woman’s name was and was able to tell her all about this woman as if she had known her for years even though she actually didn’t know her. Her mum told a nurse and it turns out the woman she mentioned had been in the ward but had died a few days before.
I’m more of a skeptic that a non believer as such.

I actually cannot think of a more mundane job than ironing, but I do love that feeling after you’ve put it all away, and its all nice, and you sit down and reward yourself.
sad innit.
That’s why men don’t do it, we’d hate to take that sense of pride away from you
23 July, 2008 at 1:21 pm #341939Yep, she want’s all the rewards but she doesn’t want to make any effort to get them. She denied other people the chance at ‘Head Of House’ then complained from the moment the task began.
She’s not just annoying, she’s bloody selfish.
23 July, 2008 at 12:44 pm #341937I was gonna vote for Darnell until I knew for certain that Bex was up
22 July, 2008 at 3:23 pm #327143Phoned Sony about my PS3, tried their suggestion of taking the hard drive out and putting it back in (the equivalent of switch it off then switch it back on again) so they’re sending a replacement on Thursday. That’s quick and easy, sounds pretty good.
Except it means starting again from the beginning on GTA IV after months of progress and being lucky rather than good
22 July, 2008 at 12:45 pm #341930If Darnell’s up, I’ll be voting for him. The past week he’s shown a side to him that he’d have done well not to show. Maybe he thought that house leader lasted more than just a week and as such thought he was untouchable.
22 July, 2008 at 12:28 pm #341927Hasn’t Lisa climbed everest, sailed the seven seas, found a cure for the common cold, carried an elephant out of a burning building with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back, been awarded the nobel peace prize and still found time to raise a child while all along secretly working undercover for the CIA? Another week in hell should be easy
Think we’re beginning to see just what people think of Mikey as well, since Mario left it seems that nobody gives a shyte if he’s blind or not.
