Think it depends on what angle you see it from, first look at it I thought it was the right decision. Having watched it side on, it looks like Beye got to the ball before he made contact with the player and as such it’s the wrong call. How often does a ref have a good game though? It happens, but they’re always gonna get more wrong than right because of these grey areas where it all depends on interpritation. Could be worse, you could have our officials. Some of them don’t even know the basics. John Hughes was told to leave his players’ dressing room as he was serving a touchline ban. He had every right to be there.

It makes the ‘Respect The Ref’ campaign look like a lost cause, I think of the ref as the equivalent of a line manager at work. His/her job is to keep on top of things, but if he/she gets on the wrong side of me then stuff respect. It’s human nature.

Still won the ball and I thought that’s what the rule was, it’s one of those grey areas. It can be viewed as many different ways and there’s a strong arguement for both points of view.

Puts pressure on the referees as well, next time something similar happens it’ll really be under the microscope. As for video technology, in situations like that it couldn’t do any harm as the game would have stopped anyway.

Another fup – Beye got a touch of the ball, no penalty, no red card.

Aye, I liked it at first then lost interest. Never been much of a sci-fi fan so a sitcom set on a spaceship has limited appeal. Liked My Hero until James thingyfs took over, Ardal O’ Hanlon played it brilliantly at times.

I never got into it, watched it a couple of times and thought it was quite funny but it was just one of those things that I didn’t take to.

    Same with Red Dwarf.

haha, the royal family came to me earlier, when I emptied our outside ashtray

Anthony reminds me of my teenage years ‘I have to do everything around here!’ and if I was feeling brave I might say it out loud

Have the complete Royle Family on DVD, including the tearjerker finale – I don’t cry very often so I’m glad I decided to tape it and not to watch it in the canteen at work

Forgot about The Young Ones until Argyll mentioned it, can’t forget Bottom either. And I also missed out The Royle Family.

Has this got anyone else thinking of the Berti Vogts era? Fans divided, tactical criticism, player unrest, sounds familiar.

nooooooooo………but to be honest…although we are on a good run right now…we will still end up in the bottom six…but no where near the bottom two

I’d actually hate to see St.Mirren relegated, despite them having the cheek to beat Rangers  as I admire what Gus has done on a shoestring budget. He and Jim Jefferies are terrific examples of what makes a good manager.

Something’s not right in the Scotland set up and I think it’s about respect. Read Des McKeown in the Sun today and I agree fully with what he said, how many players walked out on or challenged Smith or Big Eck?

There’s just something about Burley that doesn’t inspire me as a fan and I reckon the players may feel the same. Goes back to the point I made about his press conference, stating that it wasn’t about Kris Boyd or George Burley when it was pretty obvious what it was about. Then bringing Walter Smith’s name into it even though there was actually no need just to highlight his point. If it’s nothing to do with Boyd then it’s even less to do with him. I thought that he said the right things but in completely the wrong way.

McGregor’s outburst makes it pretty clear that for some of the players, their loyalties lie elsewhere.
