insecure people need emoticons
just incase anyone may think ill of their opinion
an emoticon is a get out clause
dont worry about it
the damage is done
only the real morons will see otherwise
Very profound…
PATS, I ain’t bitter Obviously, I’m just insecure!
a child is missing and you think your long drawn out bull
somehow qualifys your total ignorance
it never will
type as may words as you like
it wont change the fact you have shown yourself
No, I don’t always agree with Uber (you may have noticed) but everyone who posts on here feels they have a valid point in their own mind. We don’t all have to agree with each other, eh Uber….?
Actually, after re reading your post I’m even more confuddlicated Johhny
Cant you see that the actual instance is one thing and the general topic (child abduction/paedophillia) is linked but not the exact same actual thing?
And hypocrisy is saying you wouldnt do something then doing the complete opposite, I dont recall ever saying I wouldnt joke about anything at all, infact I dont think there IS anything I wont find or look for the humour in
I also didnt say that I WOULDNT call cheap wine poor parents cheap wine poor parents either
And as there isnt some universal law that says the ONLY choices that are available are to humourlessly call people cheap wine poor parents or jokingly hug them till their heads fall off I am at a complete loss to see where the hypocrisy is really so I am hoping you can elaborate and show where I have said I wouldnt do something and then did it coz its got me beat
Actually, I don’t know what you wrote cos there’s been so damn much of it
You’re not telling me anything I don’t already know. After all, I was just stating my opinion. It is a discussion board after all (who keeps telling me that?)
And to R.O.T.T – this has been raging for a while (especially between me and uber, we’ve been having a personal war of words for some time. Actually, I’m starting to detect a bit of a sexual spark between us…) so it’s not the first thing that sprang to uber’s mind.
I just thought it was a bit weird about how you were banging about a ‘real and present danger’ in response to what I said, and then turn round and make light of the situation.
Where I come from, that’s a hypocrit. But I suppose, since it’s you, ‘I’m entitled to my opinon blah-de-blah-de-f***ing-blah. I can argue with you but don’t dare argue with me’
I would have thought the actor who played Len Fairclough in corrie, Garry Glitter or Michael Jackson making an appeal might have carried more weight lol, infact, all they would have probably needed to have done is consulted their phone book and made a few calls to close friends to have sorted it out lol

people that treat paedophillia as a laughing matter are an accessory to the act
both of you are truly disgusting
Funny to think that uber took the moral highground with me for daring to suggest that perhaps kids should be allowed to be kids while they have the chance.
And then that same person goes on to joke about paedophillia?
Who could forget his ‘three yellow cards’ performance at the World Cup? Not only is he a bit too card happy at times, but he gets so excited he loses count! You’re right, a good referee lets the game go. I thought the ref in the second leg for Chelsea v Liverpool was fantastic, Poll (and I dare say many others) would’ve ruined it by blowing for everything.
One quick point to back up what I have said before on here, and this came up last night when I was talking to my mum about the wee girl. My parents know what it’s like to lose a daughter and I know what it’s like to lose a sister – different circumstances but same thing and I’m not going into detail but we were both very young.
But she told me a story she had told me before, and this wee story is an example as to my way of thinking. Years ago, when we were kids, there was a group of us in the park – us and some of our friends – between 7 and 10 years old I reckon we were as a group at the time. A man approached us and went with one of the girls into the toilets and my mum along with many other people in the area saw this and phoned the police. The guy dropped dead as he was being taken away. So how long do you think it was before we were back in the park? Couple of days? Couple of weeks? No, a couple of hours. And it wasn’t just us that went back.
And after my sister died – I was eight or nine, my memory isn’t good after what happened – my friends and I still went out and played on our own. Be alert but not afraid was how things were around here and still are. Like it or not, that’s how I grew up in spite of everything. To you it may sound outrageous, to me and many others it was normal.
I actually saw that appeal earlier, PB and I have to agree that it will make sod all impact. What is the thinking there? If somebody isn’t spurred into giving whatever information they may have, no matter how insignificant they think it is by a picture of a smiling three year old girl, then who’ll respond to an appeal by Beckham and co? Surely people don’t need a nudge in the right direction?
But then, there was that woman who saw something suspicious three weeks ago and never bothered her a**e bringing it to anyone’s attention so I suppose that answers my question.
Looks like the ground search has been called off and that ain’t a good sign. These things rarely have a happy ending and considering the time that has passed, as well as what I’ve just mentioned, even the most optimistic of optimists must have a feeling that this is looking like it could unfortunately be another sad statistic.
