It’s little surprise that whoever wrote the letter didn’t actually give their name, and I suspect that the account they gave probably isn’t the whole story either.
That example you just gave sounds all too familiar, the worse one I personally heard was a guy reporting his son missing. Except he wasn’t. He knew where he was, his son was just refusing to go with him (probably cos he was with his mates more than anything and he’s at an age where it wouldn’t have made him look good) and demanded that the police take action. Fair enough, if it was silly o’clock but it was early evening and still daylight!
I just wish someone had asked him to suggest how to approach the situation :lol:
