23 July, 2008 at 8:49 am #355836Erm…..no, I don’t see dead people, not in the way I might see a live person wih my eyes, but I do sense people and “see” them in my mind (or with my third eye for those into this kind of thing). I have been visited by friends in dreams and during the day when I wasn’t aware they were dead, and I often get messages to pass on to other people. Too many stories too numerous to tell really!
I also have a mind-body-spirit gift shop and as you can imagine some of the conversations are, shall we say, interesting – some people are too “way out there” for me, but we have some deep conversations about spirituality and the after-life, and some ordinary people have the most amazing experiences, often not telling anyone for fear of being considered mad.
As for mediums, well there are a lot of charlatans out there who work by cold-reading and so on – for me, Colin Fry (who lives quite close to me and is a bit of a local celeb) does this more and more these days, I would say if you’re going to see him, treat it as entertainment. One of the most amazing “known” mediums I have seen was Gordon Smith, a lovely warm genuine down-to-earth man who does give precise names, dates, and sometimes even addresses – and if nothing is coming through, he doesn’t waffle and make things up, he is honest and says there just isn’t anything today.
If you do want to see a medium, then unless you have a really strong personal recommendation the best way is to go along to your local spiritualist church for a few meetings – you don’t have to be religious or believe, you can just sit at the back and observe – and ask around there.
Now, back to my incense, crystals and dead people……..

I think he did his time under the law he should be allowed to go but having said that there should be a lifetime ban in the first instance not two years and this would never have arisen
Usually this is my view – once they’ve served their sentence, paid their dues, then they should be given a second chance. Two things changed my mind in this case:
firstly seeing Dwayne on a TV interview where he said he did it because he thought he could get away with it, he didn’t seem to be sorry for doing it, just sorry for getting caught, so he hasn’t truly learnt his lesson – so does he deserve a second chance?
secondly, and more importantly, an “expert” was saying that the drugs that were used, and many of those that are on the market, don’t just provide a temporary improvement in performance but a lifetime improvement, so athletes such as Dwayne will continue to have an unfair advantage long after their sentence has been served.
So yes, I think the courts were right and it sends out a very clear message to anyone else who might be tempted – cheat and your career is over.

…so are you gonna tell us who you’ve shagged from forum 3 then or what?
Judging by the post above …. it looks as though jen jen might have been one of ’em.
Now come on girls, sad and delusional or not – own up. Who else has been playing hide the sausage with UP Pilot?????
Nope not me PB – I was one of the ones that said no, AND I kept my phone numbers to myself. Only one person was delusional when I was chatting with UKPilot……..and it wasn’t me……
But as Boo so rightly says….situation on loop, only the names change.
14 July, 2008 at 10:56 pm #353387Isn’t it funny how those whose advances are rejected soon start spouting off about how the women are sad and delusional and how everyone here is on benefits, how none of us have real lives, are parasites etc., whilst they of course are firmly planted in the real world with comfortable lives and lots of money?
Sneaky/Pilot, when you first started chatting you seemed so normal, nice and charming…..seems you’re showing your true colours now, and they really don’t suit you.
3 July, 2008 at 8:25 am #351677Happy Birthday Dave – hope you don’t spend too much of it in here and can find better things to do!
2 July, 2008 at 10:58 pm #351646Yes you can pickle them.
What about making things like a mushroom stroganof or a mushroom korma and freezing them in individual portions? The mushroom korma is lovely over a home-made biryani.
