Sorry Pete but ’tis true, for all we moan about the commercialism, when someone isn’t around any more you want to tell all the moaners to be glad they’ve got someone to send a card to. This will be my second mothers day without a mam to send a card to, and my third fathers day without a dad, and I would give anything to be able to give one more card and send one more bunch of flowers.

I’ll be wishing my mother was still here….oh to be able to send one more card…..

Blue sky, sunshine, and hearing the birds sing…..and watching other people walk to work plugged into their ipods, tuned out from the world, not realising what they’re missing.

Sweet!.. It’s good to get them to choose something themselves.. It could be a sweeping brush lol, but it’s the fact that it’s something “They” chose. 8)

It is lovely to watch, I always spend time with the kids when they come in to choose pressies for their mums, treat them as adults, help them to get the best value for their money….in monetary terms it’s a lot of effort for little cash in the till, but there’s more to life than money (must remember to tell the landlord that when the rent is due!)

Yup, every car salesman loves a smartarse …. or is that a stereotype too???

Pffffft, I understood Poli’s reply perfectly and thought she’d made it sound quite simple….but then again my ex-husband was a mechanic and being strapped for cash we nursed several cars, spending weekends working on them so they’d last through the next week….guess I absorbed more about the workings of a car than I realised.

BTW, last time I went shopping for a car, other half came with me, the salesman kept talking to him about the technical stuff (he doesn’t have a clue other than checking the oil and washer fluid!) and gave me the colour charts and fabric samples for the seats…..I bided my time then I started asking questions and the salesman couldn’t answer them and had to call for help – so less of the stereotypes please!
