Oh and BTW just for reader’s edification, Richard Barnbrook is shortly to announce himself a candidate for London Mayor. I wonder if he will use his correct address this time???

Very interesting PB, according to Emma anyone who doesn’t pay their taxes is no use to their family or society and should be put inside and made to pay for the pleasure. If they can’t pay their assets should be sold.

They can pay with savings…if they have no savings, then we should sell their goods at auctions, if they have no goods, then we pay for them, and if they decide they wana work again, they pay back what they owe.

If people dont have a valid reason for paying their council tax or rent, and someone wants to press charges, then they go to prison. Equally, those who wage illegal wars should go to prison too.

Why let usefull people into the country when we can train those already here?

You’re too soft. Maybe we should force all those who voted for this government, to fund there social financial disasters set upon those who didnt vote for them.

This is why i advocate segregation. I know we have a specific democracy system, but it wouldn’t hurt us to have a specific area of social and political policy, in a local council situation where we can choose to live, and feel our taxes are spent better.

Emma, I wish you’d make your mind up about segregation, in one thread you want it and then in another you deny you’ve ever said it, besides it’s been proven in other countries not to work.

I would imagine, that the percentage of immigrants who work, is similar to those born here. Be interesting to see the figures.

I saw a government graph some months back, and religiously, it said more muslims claim benefit than the others, i think jews work the most something like 20%. It was something in the region of 80% of female muslims claim benefit, and about 30% male and christians was about 30%. Hindus and sikh’s 40%.

I’d like to think that the Gurkahs would be asked to serve as they are a specialist unit and no, Brit soldiers don’t have they’re peculiar enthusiasm for fighting, believe me.

Emma, I’ve yet to come across a serviceman who was in the forces only to defend the Queen and Country, most of them are in because it was boyhood thing and then because of the comradeship!

So if non-white serviceman revolted, because the country they serve wants to get rid of them, I can hardly see that as being traitors, more like they country is the traitor.
Why would they want to serve? And seeing as how the army is struggling to recruit I don’t think piss*ng them off would be a good Idea, because despite what you might think you can’t walk away from international responsibilities without some form of hefty repercussions.

And yes we do need the Americans as were still paying off the debt to them from WW2 ( How many billions of dollars of aid was shipped here?), the Falklands (those Sidewinders aren’t free) and both Gulf wars (Apache Helicopters do cost more than a Ford Fiesta you know).

Stopping their money doesn’t work as they turn to crime, if you try to make them work they act so inept that any employer can’t be bothered to put up with it, so what’s the alternative?

The people who moan about the immigrants the most are generally the ones who don’t work anyway.

Who would you prefer? immigrints who work and pay taxes for the upkeep of the country (and let’s not forget they also pay into ailing pension schemes that are being bled dry by British people on long term sickness, etc.) or British peple who can’t be bothered?

I don’t agree with mass immigration either but I do agree with selective immigration, get those in who have a skill to add and get rid of those who don’t, regardless of creed, nationality OR colour.

a friend of mine a good friend infact is on the dole at the moment and he is loving it! he will go back to work eventually once he has had time to relax and enjoy himself with no worries about rent or council tax etc etc etc

Im not saying anthing about that. My argument is this country are trying hard to bring in immigrants and fix their lives when sooooooooo many old people in this country die because the cannot afford heating. Also my friends dad worked in a factory since he was 16 now 57 he was made redundant without a pay off. He had to go on the dole but goes to the job center everyday and is a proud man. His wife is working full time but the cant afford to live properly and get no help at all and he wants to work but its hard. Some people are purely just freeloaders!! Get rid of them.

Becky, your quite right some of the people coming in to the country are here for the easy ride, put yourself in their position:
You live in a sh*thole country that has no health care or social care system, there is no work and your family starves every day. Do you:

A. put up with it

B. go to the U.K. and have it easy.

I know what I’ll do, so to blame them is unfair, I bet you’d do the same.

However, some of the people coming in are professionals, Doctors, lawyers teachers, etc. and they probably pay a shed load of tax, which keeps the health service and the like going. So we need to be careful by labeling all immigrants as malingerers, a system like the Aussies have would be better, then we can vet and be selective about them, because despite what Emma rants on about we need immigrants because we can’t do it all by ourselves.
