1. Thats why they should only have one shootgun for hunting and nothing else, over 9,000 people get killed in the USA each year – less guns less murders. And more checks before allowed to purchase a gun would also help.
2. The declaration for independnce was signed back in 1776, things have changed since then and there was not a military force the size it is now – there fore no need for citizens to bare arms any more, as for not allowed to carry them in public – shame no one told Dylann Storm Roof or any of the school shooters that.

4. IM not in politics, so i cant put “my Country in order” but i do give out about my Country just the same – well not about gun laws as only the drug police have guns, not even the normal Garda have them.
5. IF most are lawful then how come there are so many killings in America. If your from the UK why get your knickers in a twist about American gun laws??American States are separately legislating to ban magazine clips of more than 5/10 bullets.

President Obama has unveiled a plan to address gun violence in the nation. The initiative consists of 23 executive actions and three presidential memoranda, most of which will require congressional approval. Many parts of the plan may have significant effects on states.
The plan:
Requires background checks for all gun sales and strengthens the background check system. This would include removing barriers under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act so that states may more freely share information about mental health issues involving potential gun purchasers.
Provides states with monetary incentives—$20 million in fiscal year FY 2013 and a proposed $50 million in FY 2014—to share information so that records on criminal history and people prohibited from gun ownership due to mental health reasons are more available.
Bans military-style assault weapons and limits magazines to a capacity of 10 rounds.
Provides additional tools to law enforcement. The plan proposes a crackdown on gun trafficking by asking Congress to pass legislation that closes “loopholes” in gun trafficking laws and establishes strict penalties for “straw purchasers” who pass a background check and then pass guns on to prohibited people.
Urges Congress to pass the administration’s $4 billion proposal to keep 15,000 state and local police officers on the street to help deter gun crime.
Maximizes efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime. The president calls upon the attorney general to work with U.S. attorneys across the country to determine gaps occurring in this area and where supplemental resources are appropriate.
Provides training for “active shooter” situations to 14,000 law enforcement, first responders and school officials.
Directs the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to issue a statement to health care providers that they are not prohibited by federal law from reporting threats of violence to the proper authorities.
Launches a national gun safety campaign to encourage responsible gun ownership and authorizes the Consumer Product Safety Commission to examine issues relating to gun safety locks.
Helps schools invest in safety. The president’s plan calls for more school resource officers and counselors in all schools through the Community Oriented Policing Services hiring program. The plan also calls for the federal government to assist schools in developing emergency management plans.
Improves mental health awareness through enhanced teacher training and referrals for treatment. The plan calls for the training of 5,000 additional mental health professionals nationwide. An 11-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter over the fatal shooting of a toddler in Detroit.
The older boy allegedly shot the three-year-old boy in the face on Monday and he was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital, The Detroit News and other media said.
According to CBS Detroit, police at the scene said the boys had been playing with the gun.
The Detroit News quoted Wayne County prosecutor Kym Worthy as saying that the older boy was visiting his father’s house when he found a gun in a bedroom wardrobe.
He tossed it out of the bedroom window, Ms Worthy said, retrieved it outside and took it into a parked vehicle where the toddler joined him.
A short time later, Ms Worthy said, the 11-year-old shot the little boy dead.
If this man had a his gun locked away a 11 year old child would still be alive today. If there were proper checks it would have been locked away – or maybe he wouldn’t have been able to buy one in the first place – whats the fathers mental state if he leaves a gun unlocked with children around???@blossom. wrote:

Try being original or at least up to date, it might help you look less of a tit next time.

I have no comment about knife crime because i didnt start a thread about knife crime its about American gun laws.
Dont join the boards to single me out when im not the only one who thinks America have gone too far with “right to bare arms”.
As for “have you been to America, have you seen gun crime” – sorry but that’s irrelevant. Ive been to London and didn’t see any knife crime but i know it exists so i don’t have to witness a gun attack to know its happening on a large scale in the USA.
