no i consider beating a rsenal or chelsea a bigger feat to be honest..
last night is the best i seen liverpool play all season.. and that was without probably the two best players they have got
at the start of the season.. birmingham would have settled for mid table.. i very much doubt liverpool would have settled for anything worse then 4th place, its how i see it, they are a big team.. they set them self targets of playing with the big teams every year in europe
Your manager says every season that The Liverpool game is the big one !!
I don’t think we played that well really last night.I thought we played a lot better against Ar$enal and Chelsea at home and Charlton away.
Birmingham made a lot of signings pre season and would have hoped to be challenging for Europe.Liverpool are achieving there goals for this season even though they have been hampered by injuries.

The difference between Birmingham and Liverpool however is that Liverpool can still play badly all season and qualify for Europe while Birmingham, despite one good game against a top flight club, are still under-achievers.
i would’nt call beating liverpool anything to write home about this season, they have been both great and poor all season.. so inconsistant, to beat them, you just have to be lucky you got them on the right day
birmingham can be proud for what they have achived as there goals are set a lot lower then liverpools
Surely Birmingham are under achieving though Soulie if they are capable of playing Liverpool of the park and are still only a mid table club ???
Liverpool are still very inconsistent but a lot of that is down to the swapping and changing of the team with all the injuries. Also a new manager getting to know the players and 7 new signings.
I think they are actually over achieving in Europe as we are not as good as the other teams at the moment but are still in there with a good chance of reaching the last 8 !!!As for it being nothing to write home about beating us………..well you wouldn’t think so as they seem to be talked about on here and by you in particular more often than not !!
Also…..most grounds highest gate in the Premiership is when Liverpool or United come to town.So it would seem it is a big deal to beat us to most fans.27 January, 2005 at 10:51 am #24523You only had 1/2 then Kent ?

27 January, 2005 at 10:48 am #24521In for a bit !!
26 January, 2005 at 3:32 pm #104114Me niether………..and if they do it is more likely to be Ar$enal than Man Utd In my opinion.
26 January, 2005 at 3:17 pm #104111Whether Man Utd win the title or not….they would have still done it by spending a fortune…the same way as Chelsea.
All them players have done well but ( and if you read back you will realise your error ) They are not new signings !!!!!!!!
I just think Robben is a better signing than Heinz.
26 January, 2005 at 3:01 pm #104109You said at the end of your previous post that ” It’s not over yet” Implying that you could still win the title by not spending money like Chelsea when clearly you have.
I think Robben has been a much much better buy !!
26 January, 2005 at 12:45 pm #104107Those days are well over Soulie !!
33 million Rio
30 million Rooney
12 million Ronaldo
10 million Saha
8 million Smith
7 million HienzThat’s 100 million mate……………and there has been a few others too.
28 million on Veron ??
Utd have spent as much as Chelsea over the last 4 years and have a far weaker squad.
I know Liverpool have spent unwisely to recently but im not denying it.Also…I don’t believe there isn’t a league side nearer to you than Man Utd !!
26 January, 2005 at 8:38 am #104105I never moaned about it…………I just said I’d love it if Abramovich Fu*ked off and left them up sh*t creek.
I agree with you about the Buxton thing. If everyone did support there local team then everyone would be as wealthy as one another. It’s the fact that so many fans from other area’s give there money to our clubs that probably makes us richer.23 January, 2005 at 7:01 pm #104102Hi Sunny,
