shafelia ahmed was murdered. that it the official coroners verdict on the 17 year old muslim girl. who was found decomposing in a shallow part of a river in the north of england. shafelia was murdered by persons unknown. [yeah rite] she was strangled and dumped in the river for refusing to be forced into marriage by her bullying muslim owners. [fathers are deemed as owners of female children in the muslim cult] she had been taken to pakistan to be forced into marriage to a complete stranger, as many muslim english girls are. when she realised her fate at 15 years old she tried to commit suicide by drinking bleach. her parents told the court this was done by mistake when she wanted to use mouthwash. [go figure] she was seriously burned and was brought back to britain to be treaten on the n.h.s, before she was to return for a second viewing by her to be owner and his family. shafia refused to return and told many of her friends and colleagues that she was terrified of returning to pakistan. she also told people that her parents were abusing her by beating her almost daily to comply with their demands. she had her savings account cleared just days before she disappeared.
the police have vowed to trace her killer or killers and the case is ongoing. meanwhile her parents have been released until further investigations have been completed.

what should the police do here. after all , forced marriage is a cultural problem.
thousands of english raised and educated girls are taken to pakistan and forced into marriage every year. some return, bringing their new husbands and his relatives [extended relatives sometimes] and settle here for good, but many others are never seen agai. if they refuse marriage they are simplt killed as a matter of family honour. as in this case.
the parents of this girl have complained that the police have not done enough for them and they are taking legal advise. [no doubt looking to cash in on her death as well as having her killed, or indeed killing her themselves.]
what should the government do to help stop this wholeale slavery trade going into pakistan daily. ?
stop muslim girls travelling to pakistan full stop.?
stop muslim girls marrying abroad before the age of 16 ?
take every muslim famale child into care for their own safety ?
arrest parents of muslim girls who disappear, as they do at an alarming rate in some towns ?
i dont know all of the above are impossible, but unless something is done this legalised slavery will continue.
personally i would like to see every muslim in britain put on a plane with a one way ticket.i firmly believe that religion of any sort is sick. but the muslim faith isnt only sick its proud of being sick. female circumsision and forced marriage are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the suffering inflicyed on these poor women.[and children] they are kept as slaves and treated with no respect whatsoever, they will often be forced to kill their own children on the strength of a rhumour. as a mans word is taken as law when used against a female. even in rape cases the woman will be killed for allowing herself to be gang raped, often by gangs of young muslim males. rape is used as a control from a very early age amongst family members. so how do we stop it ?
or do we just ignore it as its cultural…

No we cant ignore it. In this country muderers are brought to justice dispite what religion they are. So what if she wouldnt be forced into a arranged marriage, did she deserve to die? No, she didnt and thats how the law will see it.

I have no idea what would have happened to her in Pakistan, I’m not sure what the law is there. Maybe family members are allowed to do this, but in this country it is illegal as well as morally wrong.

It might sound horrible, but they look as if they couldnt care less. Is it just me that thinks they seem to show no emotion? If I had lost one of my three kids – I think I would look just alittle upset…

It it was me foxy, I,d be in a mental institution by now, not visiting the flamin pope or discussing maddie the movie.

Me too! In fact I dont think I’d want to carry on living if I lost one of my three – they mean the world to me. Movies would be the last thing on my mind. I understand funds need to be raised, but surely there must be a limit before it starts to get out of hand. I feel sorry for madeline I really do, but not for them. I think they see it as a career move or something, I cant explain their actions any other way.
