I really can’t imagine why anybody would want to ‘reform’ criminals. If they offend, simply lock them up and toss away the key – that way they cannot commit any further crimes in our society.

What an excellent idea. No more skiving off pretending to work (and getting paid to do so) when in fact employees are just hanging around the coffee machine gossiping etc.

Sitting GCSEs in Year 9 is a good thing IF the child is capable of doing so without causing him or her ‘undue’ stress. The big advantage is that they can stagget their exams by doing some in Year 9, some in Year 10 and the balance in Year 11.
