Wow Kent you really are an 87 faced nasty despicable deceitful manipulative negative duplicitous petty envious jealous horrible unpleasant excuse for a human being – you clearly have some serious personal issues to resolve. Try not to hurt others while you resolve them eh. Look inwards rather than lash out.
PS The above is not abuse just an observation and caring advice. I am sure people will disagree with what is and isn’t an opinion.
I thought Kent’s post was very eloquent and not worthy or your response Jacklumper.
I don’t normally post on the forums, I find them an awful place generally, and I don’t normally speak in my “serious” voice but I am going to this once.
Everyone who is left needs to speak out in no uncertain terms against LD. That includes other guides. It’s utterly unnacceptable behaviour – not just on a “what’s best for chat/chatters” level, but on a serious immoral level.
I’m asking for everyone who I ever chatted to here on good terms with for 14 years to make your voice heard by the appropriate channel – the “contact us” form on the front page of the website. I don’t need to / wish to be reinstated – I’m over the road now as Imperator on UKChat if anyone wants to join – but this type of abusive and bullying behaviour should not be left unchecked. I applaud merlin, drac, claire, DivineIntervention, and others for already standing up and being counted.
It’s not as serious as the following poem, but the sentiment is the same. An absolute misuse and abuse of power as a vindictive tool. It makes me really concerned not just about this place, but about the nature of how we are going to be able to have constructive conversations as a society over divisive issues going forwards.

I mean lets be honest Guru, what did I do wrong? I’ve compaigned for years now to get rid of the numbers on the site due to the racist and abusive scrolling and comments. I know due to the amount of time you spend in here you are happy to glean attention from either registered users or those who choose to abuse to satisfy your need for attention, even professing that some come here and enjoy the abuse.
You have simply acted like a five year old, sulking and whinging. You were a good regular chatter until you showed your true colours so won’t be missed.
I’ve had it. My arm ached for an hour the next day and I slept for 5 hours that day but other than that no effects.

The ban of guests in forum got nothing to do with the members of this site.
More to do with the site’s staff and lack of them. 3 site admin was never enough.
If you want to stop repeat abuses of this site…. block vpn’s Its not that hard to do !!

Whereas I know you are probably suffering from spamming withdrawal and you can waffle on about VPN’s and all that as much as you like. Being a technophobe I’m not really interested in your theories and most won’t be either.
The fact is that people will be able to chat without seeing all the vile abuse and guests are never going to be allowed to return.
So suck up it. The rooms are going to be quieter for a while, that goes without saying but at least those who choose to pay for a membership can chat knowing they won’t be abused and if they are it will easier to ban the abusers and cost them money.
The site will need very few Admin now the numbers can’t spam.

VPN’s have been causing issues on many sites in the last few years. Even the BBC had problems and installed a VPN blocker.
Using LD’s argument…. they should have just shut there online content down.
My opinion on guests is simple: they never start off causing trouble & most are ok.
So I feel this may have nothing to do with guests more to do with site admin losing control. Its not that hard to remove and stop abusive returning. With a little time and work the problem can be solved.
What a pile of rubbish that is Doa! You have no idea how many hours Admin have banned the abusers constantly to no avail. Our powers are very limited as you know.
Guests always start the rubbish and abuse, as the members don’t want to be charged another tenner when they are banned.
Admin don’t lose control, they have none over the numbers and the numbers used to know that !
You, as a constant scroller must be feeling the pain but there is nothing you can do now is there?

9 times out of 10 when i sign in I see that nobody posted for hours and that nobody is online.

Guides/Hosts randomly threatening to ban people, and telling them to leave doesn’t exactly do much to encourage people to use the site.
And exactly where and when did any Guide or Host threaten to ban or tell chatters to leave? They might warn a chatter, however, most don’t waste their breath they would just ban them for violating the rules.

Unfounded lies are what chatrooms survive on, I mean gossip is a bit like an Ariston it goes on and on and on!
As for constant abuse there will be none now as those that partake in such activities will be banned and have to pay a tenner to come back time and time again. Might be a bit expensive don’t you think?

Rather than keeping this site open out of charity and nothing else and for a majority of people who don’t appreciate that contribution of time and money, close it once and for all and let those people find somewhere else, that will tolerate them and that meets their many needs and where they can whine about the new site to their heart’s content.

Now now Gerry there are a lot of people who that like to come and chat for many different reasons, so let’s try and be a bit more positive. No chat room is perfect but at least now those low life abusers won’t be able to spill their vile comments. Let’s hope some of the old chatters will read the boards and feel more comfortable about coming in for a chat like they used to.
